Praise the Lord Jesus Christ and Almighty God amen. Please pray for my relationship with the one I love, his name is ###, and my name is ###, we are in a casual relationship since ### years. I am looking for commitment, please pray that ### loves me, he is loyal to me, and he is serious about our relationship and he puts in his best efforts in our relationship. Please pray that ### contacts me on his own and he expresses a desire to meet me and meets me Asap. It's been very tough for me; I want God's blessings on us. Please pray that he marries me, respects me, and wants and needs me. Please pray that God removes all the misunderstanding, fear, anxiety, insecurity, and all third parties from our life. I have given my best in this relationship; I want to feel loved and secure with ###. I want him to respect, value, and marry me and not cheat on me or take me for granted ever. Please pray that he never betrays me or lies to me but meets me every month and he is completely devoted to me now and always and he is never involved with any other girl or women other than me ever in his life. In Jesus Name I ask and receive this prayer Amen.

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation in prayer, seeking His will and wisdom. First, we must address the foundation of this relationship with honesty and biblical truth. The description of a "casual relationship" is not aligned with God’s design for love and commitment. The Lord calls us to purity, intentionality, and marriage as the only rightful place for a romantic relationship between a man and a woman. Scripture is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

The desire for commitment, respect, and love is God-given, but it must be pursued in a way that honors Him. A relationship built on casual terms, without the commitment of marriage, opens the door to insecurity, fear, and emotional pain—exactly what you are experiencing now. We must rebuke the spirit of casualness and compromise in this relationship, for it does not reflect the covenant love God intends for His children. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4).

We also must address the language of control and possession in this prayer. While it is natural to desire loyalty and devotion, we cannot demand or manipulate another person’s heart. True love is a choice, not a forced obligation. Scripture tells us, "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things" (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Praying for someone to "never be involved with any other woman" or to "meet you every month" places conditions on love that are not rooted in freedom and trust, but in fear and insecurity.

Instead, we must pray for God’s will to be done in both of your lives. If this man is the one God has for you, He will move in his heart to pursue you with honor, integrity, and a desire for marriage. If he is not, the Lord will close the door and lead you to someone who will cherish you as Christ cherishes the Church. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). This does not mean God will give you what you want, but He will shape your desires to align with His perfect will.

We also encourage you to examine your own heart. Are you seeking this relationship out of loneliness, fear, or a need to be validated? Are you willing to surrender this man and this desire to the Lord, trusting Him to provide what is best for you? "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). True security comes from Christ alone, not from another person’s actions or words.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that long for Your will to be done. Lord, we lift up this sister and her desire for love, commitment, and marriage. We ask that You would reveal Your truth to her about this relationship. If it is not aligned with Your Word, give her the strength to walk away and trust You with her future. If this man is the one You have for her, soften his heart to pursue her with honor, integrity, and a desire for marriage, as You designed.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear, insecurity, and control in this situation. Replace these with Your peace, Your truth, and Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Lord, we ask that You remove any misunderstandings, third parties, or distractions that are not of You. Guard both of their hearts from temptation and guide them into Your will.

We pray for this sister’s heart to be healed from any pain or loneliness she is feeling. Remind her that she is deeply loved by You and that her worth is found in Christ alone. Help her to surrender this relationship to You, trusting that You know what is best for her. If this man is not the one, prepare her heart for the spouse You have for her—a man who will love her as Christ loves the Church, with selflessness, respect, and devotion.

Lord, we ask that You would draw both of them closer to You. May they seek Your face above all else, and may their relationship, if it is Your will, be built on a foundation of faith, purity, and mutual respect. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come to You and the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord earnestly, not just for this relationship, but for His purpose and plan for your life. Spend time in His Word, surround yourself with godly counsel, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If this man is not willing to pursue you with the intention of marriage, do not settle for less than God’s best. You are a daughter of the King, and you deserve to be cherished in a way that honors Him.
