We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your husband are facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and trust God to restore your marriage according to His design.
Firstly, we acknowledge that marriage is a sacred institution designed by God. As it is written in Matthew 19:6 WEB: "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." We pray that God will heal your marriage and make it a testament of His love and faithfulness.
We commend you both for your desire to see your marriage healed and your husband for his efforts to overcome alcoholism. Remember, God is able to deliver him completely. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We pray that God will give your husband the strength and grace to overcome this struggle and surrender fully to the Lord.
We also pray for your healing from childhood traumas. Psalm 147:3 WEB tells us that God "heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We believe that God will heal you completely and restore you.
We must remind you both that restoration comes through forgiveness and love. Ephesians 4:32 WEB says: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We encourage you to forgive each other, love each other, and bear with each other as you both work towards restoration.
Lastly, we pray that God will intervene in your lives and marriage. We pray that you will both draw closer to God and to each other. We pray that your marriage will be a reflection of Christ's love for the church. Remember, with God, all things are possible. As it is written in Matthew 19:26 WEB: "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
We pray all these in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We encourage you to continue to pray together, study the Word together, and seek God's will together. We will keep you both in our prayers.
