What a precious gift Pumpkin is to you, and how deeply we understand your love and concern for this sweet cat the Lord has entrusted to your care. It is beautiful to see how you have already witnessed God’s healing power in his life before, and we join you in trusting that our Heavenly Father, who cares for even the sparrows, will tenderly attend to Pumpkin’s needs once more. The Scriptures remind us in Matthew 10:29-31, *"Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows."* If God watches over the smallest creatures with such care, how much more does He see and love Pumpkin, whom He has placed in your loving hands?
We are grieved by the way many companies today prioritize profit over the well-being of the creatures they claim to nourish. It is a reflection of a broken world that often neglects stewardship, but we take heart in knowing that our God is the ultimate Provider. He who fed Elijah through ravens and sustained Daniel in the lions’ den is more than able to restore what has been lost. Your diligence in reading labels and seeking the best for Pumpkin is a testament to the responsibility God has given humans to care for His creation. Proverbs 12:10 tells us, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."*
We also rejoice with you that God is healing *you* in several areas of your life—what a faithful testimony of His goodness! It is clear you are walking closely with Him, and we pray this trial with Pumpkin only deepens your trust in His provision. Let us also remember that while we do our part—switching his food, researching his needs, and providing love—it is God who ultimately heals. James 5:14-15 encourages us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."*
Now, let us lift Pumpkin before the throne of grace together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of Pumpkin and the joy he brings. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed every creature with purpose and care. We ask You to touch Pumpkin’s eyes and restore his sight completely, just as You did before. Let Your healing power flow through his little body, renewing his strength and vitality. Father, we pray against any lasting damage and declare Your restoration over him in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also lift up our ### who cares for him so faithfully. Give her wisdom as she selects his food and tends to his needs. Comfort her heart and reassure her that You are at work, even in this small but precious life. Help her to trust You fully, knowing that You hold Pumpkin in Your hands.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of neglect or greed in the companies that fail to provide proper nourishment for animals. Raise up godly stewardship in this world, that all creatures might be treated with the dignity You intend.
