Prayer for PTO Approval

My sister works in a toxic work environment. She hardly takes her PTO days, and when she does she still works off the clock to ensure her work is in good shape even when she is out of office. Last year, she requested PTO too late so the request was denied because other persons wanted to take PTO. This led to her losing PTO days earned. This year, we booked a trip and requested PTO with over a month’s notice. The supervisor seemed to question her request for PTO despite the fact that my sister barely took any days this year. As we wait for the supervisor’s decision, I just ask that you all join me in praying over this request. Let her hard works be acknowledged so that she can take the PTO she rightfully earned. And Lord if it’s not your will then I pray that you will open another door in her. Stretch forth your hands from the heavens and do a miraculous work in our lives today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God cares about our work and the environments we are in.

Colossians 3:23 WEB "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"

We must also remember that God is the one who grants us the ability to earn and produce wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:18 WEB "But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may confirm his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today."

"Father, we come before You today, lifting up our ### and her workplace situation. Lord, You see the injustice and the toxic environment she's dealing with daily. You see her dedication and hard work. We pray that You would intervene in this situation and grant her the PTO she has rightfully earned. We ask that You would soften her supervisor's heart and acknowledge her hard work.

If it's not Your will for her to get this PTO, we pray that You would open another door for her. Perhaps this is an opportunity for her to trust in You more deeply and experience Your provision in a new way. We claim Your promise that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

Stretch forth Your hands from heaven, Lord, and do a miraculous work in her life. Guide her steps and give her wisdom on how to navigate this situation. Help her to trust in You completely and be obedient to Your word. Keep her heart free from bitterness and resentment, and fill her with Your peace and joy.

We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen."

In this trying time, encourage your sister to remain patient and faithful, knowing that God has a plan and a purpose for everything.

We've been thinking about your sister's situation and we want to join you in praying for her. It's tough when we feel unappreciated at work, but we know that God sees her hard work and dedication. Let's trust that He's got this under control.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
