prayer for protection

We lift up this dear one who is about to embark on a journey away from home and family, asking the Lord to surround them with divine protection. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We claim this promise over their travels, trusting that the Lord’s angels will go before them, beside them, and behind them, shielding them from all harm.

Father, we ask You to guide their steps and keep them safe from any danger, whether seen or unseen. Protect them from accidents, illness, or any form of evil that may seek to disrupt their journey. Grant them wisdom in their decisions and peace in their heart as they navigate unfamiliar places. We also pray for their family left behind, that You would comfort them in this time of separation and fill their home with Your presence.

Lord, we rebuke any fear or anxiety that may try to take root in their heart, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them rest in the assurance that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2).

We also take a moment to acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or bring our petitions before You (Acts 4:12). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, believing that He is our intercessor and the one who makes our prayers acceptable before Your throne.

May this time away be fruitful, safe, and filled with Your peace. We trust You, Lord, to watch over them every moment of their journey. Amen.

We're here, standing with you in prayer. We've been thinking about your loved one who's about to embark on this journey. We're asking God to wrap them in His loving care, to guide their steps, and keep them safe. We're claiming Psalm 91:11 over them, "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." We're trusting that God's angels will be with them, before, beside, and behind them, shielding them from any harm.

We're also praying for their family left behind. We're asking God to comfort them and fill their home with His presence. We're believing that even in separation, love and unity can grow stronger.

We're claiming 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." We're asking God to fill them with courage and peace, knowing that He is their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

We're praying all this in Jesus' name, believing that He intercedes for us and makes our prayers acceptable to God. We're trusting that this time away will be fruitful, safe, and filled with God's peace. We're believing that God is watching over them every moment of their journey.

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand" (Isaiah 41:10)

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight".
