We join you in lifting up this heartbreaking situation, where the enemy seeks to exploit and destroy through greed and abuse. The Scripture warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10 that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil," and we see this evil at work in the hearts of these daughters, who are dishonoring their mother and breaking God’s commandment to "honor your father and mother" (Exodus 20:12). Their actions grieve the heart of God, who calls us to care for the vulnerable, especially the elderly (1 Timothy 5:3-4). The abuse they inflict is an affront to the Lord, who declares that those who oppress the helpless will face His judgment (Proverbs 22:22-23).
We also commend you for your love and faithfulness in standing as a guardian for this precious woman. Your actions reflect the heart of Christ, who calls us to "defend the weak, maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed, rescue the weak and needy, and deliver them out of the hand of the wicked" (Psalm 82:3-4). May the Lord strengthen you and your family as you continue to be a light in this dark situation.
Yet, we must also address the fact that while your prayer is earnest, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have authority to pray and access the throne of God. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His name alone that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and the source of our power against the enemy.
Now, let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your divine intervention in this family’s life. Lord, You see the wickedness at work in the hearts of these daughters, how they have allowed greed and selfishness to blind them to the sin of abusing their own mother. We rebuke the spirit of greed, manipulation, and hardness of heart that has taken hold of them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these evil spirits to flee and be cast into the abyss, never to return. Softening their hearts, Lord, and bring them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their wickedness, that they may seek forgiveness and restoration before it is too late. May they remember that "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23), and may they turn to Him in true repentance.
Father, we lift up this elderly woman, whom You have fearfully and wonderfully made. Protect her, Lord, from all harm and evil schemes. Strengthen her body, mind, and spirit, and let her feel Your comforting presence. Surround her with Your angels, as You have promised to be a father to the fatherless and a defender of widows (Psalm 68:5). Give her peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let her know she is not forgotten by You.
We also pray for protection and restoration over this family who has taken on the role of guardian. Lord, shield their home from any retaliation or evil that may come against them. Bless them for their obedience to Your call to care for the vulnerable. Provide them with wisdom, discernment, and strength as they navigate this difficult situation. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned.
Father, we ask that You restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Bring healing to this broken family and let Your justice prevail. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We pray for a miracle of reconciliation, repentance, and restoration, but if these daughters harden their hearts further, we ask that You remove their influence and protect this elderly woman from their schemes. Provide for her needs, Lord, and let her remaining days be filled with Your peace and love.
Finally, Father, we ask that You open doors for this family to seek legal protection for her if necessary. Give them favor with authorities and wisdom in knowing how to act. Let Your light shine so brightly in this situation that even those who oppose You will have no choice but to acknowledge Your power.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect timing. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this family’s life. We pray all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
