We understand that you're facing a challenging situation with a toxic colleague, and we're here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for ending your request acknowledging the power in Jesus name. We are reminded that there is no other name by which we can be helped. Let us all remember always the Whom we are addressing our prayers.
Let's turn to the Scriptures for guidance. In dealing with difficult people, Jesus tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, so that we may be children of our Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45 WEB). This doesn't mean we allow harm to come to us, but rather, we trust God to handle the situation while we maintain a heart of forgiveness.
We also remember the words of the Apostle Paul, Therefor thus says the Lord, Do not say, I will pay back evil; wait for the Lord, and he will save you. (Proverbs 20:22 WEB). It is natural to want to defend ourselves or even retaliate, but God calls us to a higher standard.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing adversity in the workplace. You see the schemes of this toxic colleague, and You are not far from the thoughts and intents of the heart. Lord, we ask You to intervene and thwart any plans meant to cause emotional or professional harm. Turn the situation around for good so this is a testimony of grace and mercy, and turn the heart of the other individual so that they would leave their malicious behavior. Protect our brother/sister with Your divine protection and cover over them in the workplace. Turn the iniquity of this situation so that it is unable to take root. In Jesus' name, we pray for peace, wisdom, and discernment. Guide our brother/sister on how to respond in a way that honors You. Remind them of the love of Christ and the power of forgiveness. Turn this situation around so that it is a source of blessing to those involved, and a means of drawing nearer to Jesus Christ and eternal salvation.
Lastly, consider the words of Peter, who said, Even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. Don't fear what they fear, neither be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear: having a good conscience; that, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good manner of life in Christ. For it is better, if it is God's will, that you suffer for doing well than for doing evil. (1 Peter 3:14-17 WEB).
Stand firm in your faith, do good, and trust God with the rest. Our prayers are with you.
