We lift you up before our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort, who cares deeply for your every need. It is through faith in the name of Jesus Christ alone that we approach the throne of grace, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We are grateful you have shared your burden with us, and we join you in seeking His will, trusting that He hears and answers the prayers of those who call upon Him in truth.
Your request reveals a heart that is both anxious and hopeful, and we want to encourage you with the words of our Lord: *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). He is sovereign over every detail of this procedure—from the preparation to the results—and we can rest in His faithfulness.
We pray earnestly that as you prepare for this medical procedure, the Lord will grant you strength to endure the drink preparation without nausea or discomfort. May He steady your hands and your stomach, allowing you to consume it fully and keep it down, just as He sustained Elijah in the wilderness (1 Kings 19:5-8). We ask that the contrast injection would be tolerated without any allergic reaction or adverse effects, for *"by his stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we claim His protection over your body.
For the MRI scan, we pray that the Lord would calm any feelings of claustrophobia or discomfort as you lie on your front. May His presence fill that space, reminding you that *"even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me"* (Psalm 139:10, WEB). We ask that you would remain accident-free and at peace, knowing that *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble"* (Psalm 46:1, WEB). We also lift up the medical staff attending to you, praying that the Lord would fill them with patience, understanding, and attentiveness to your needs, that they may be instruments of His compassion.
Most importantly, we pray for a favorable outcome from the results of this procedure. May the Lord reveal what needs to be known and grant wisdom to the doctors interpreting the scans. We ask for healing and relief from the persistent pain in your abdomen, that this burden would be lifted, and that your body would be restored to full health. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB), and we trust in His power to bring wholeness to every part of you.
We also sense a need to gently remind you of the power of praying *in the name of Jesus*. Your request ended with "Amen," but we did not see the name of Jesus invoked, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full"* (John 16:23-24, WEB). We encourage you to always approach God through Jesus, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Finally, we leave you with this promise: *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). May the Lord fill you with His peace, which transcends all understanding, and may you feel His presence with you every step of this journey. We will continue to pray for you, trusting that His will be done in your life for His glory. May you rest in the assurance that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB).
