We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep need, lifting your marriage, your struggles with in-laws, and your heart’s cry for a home of your own. First, we rejoice that you are bringing these burdens to God, for He alone is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). However, we must gently address that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we are saved, heard, and blessed. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Let us always approach the throne of grace in Jesus’ name, for He is our mediator (1 Timothy 2:5).
Your marriage is under attack, and we recognize the pain of unresolved issues and the intrusion of controlling in-laws. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and it is to be honored above all earthly relationships—including family. *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24, WEB). When in-laws overstep their boundaries, it disrupts the unity God intends for marriage. We pray that your husband will rise up as the spiritual leader of your home, standing firm in love and wisdom to protect your marriage from outside influences. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her"* (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). If he has not yet taken this role, we ask the Lord to convict his heart and give him the courage to lead with godly authority, putting your marriage first.
We also rebuke any spirit of control, manipulation, or legal strongholds that have been allowed to take root in your lives. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to bring freedom and abundance. If there are legal matters entangling you, we pray for divine intervention—whether through wisdom, favor with authorities, or supernatural breakthroughs—to sever these ungodly ties. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
As for your desire for a home of your own, we lift this before the Lord, asking Him to provide in His perfect timing. A home is a blessing, but we must also examine our hearts: are we seeking it as a refuge in God, or as an escape from our current struggles? *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). We pray that if it is His will, He will open doors for you to have a place of peace, celebration, and godly ownership—one where His presence dwells richly. But we also ask that He align your desires with His purpose, so that your home becomes a sanctuary for His glory.
Lastly, we sense a deep weariness in your words—*"I trust you God with strangles"*—and we want to encourage you to hold fast to faith. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Even in the waiting, God is working. Even in the struggle, He is refining you. Do not lose heart, for *"the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing"* (James 1:3-4, WEB).
**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting our sister and her marriage into Your hands. Lord, You see the brokenness, the legal battles, and the controlling spirits that have sought to divide what You have joined together. We bind every spirit of manipulation, division, and fear in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper. Give her husband a spirit of boldness to lead, to love, and to protect his wife as Christ loves the Church. Soften his heart, Lord, and unite them in purpose, in prayer, and in Your will.
Father, we ask for Your supernatural intervention in every legal matter. Where there has been overreach, bring justice. Where there has been oppression, bring freedom. Where there has been delay, bring breakthrough. You are the God who parts seas and moves mountains—nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We trust You to resolve these issues in a way that brings glory to Your name.
For the desire of her heart—a home of her own—we ask that You provide according to Your riches in glory. If it is Your will, open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give her patience in the waiting, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Let this home, if it is from You, be a place of worship, of joy, and of testimony to Your faithfulness.
Most of all, Father, draw her closer to You. Remind her that You are her true home, her refuge, and her strength. Let her trust in You alone, not in circumstances or possessions. Renew her hope, restore her joy, and let her see Your hand moving in every detail of her life.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies that she is forgotten or that her situation is hopeless. You, Lord, are her Provider, her Defender, and her Redeemer. We declare that she will see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
