Hello everyone...Peace be with you ALL!
In watching the news this past week, I have seen MUCH, MUCH sorrow. From a young man shooting his ex-girlfriend and their daughter, only to turn the gun on himself, to an execution-style shooting in New York, to ANOTHER mall shooting (I believe, Oregon). God, I pray to You that somehow, someway, You can save these individuals and keep them from causing harm to others. That You may guide them in the direction of Your light so that they may realize that the path that they have chose is NOTHING but the road to purgatory. I pray that inspite of their choices, that they have asked for forgiveness from You and seek help. We also pray for the MANY issues in this world today, political upheavel, countries fighting one another, families breaking apart, children killing eachother, gang related violence, unstable governments, unstable marriages, physical, mental and emotional abuse to men, women AND children.
I pray to You, Lord. That you hear the cries of ALL of Your children. That we are guided from the darkness and become surrounded by the true light that this holiday season represents.
Almighty God,
from whom all thoughts of truth and peace proceed,
kindle in the hearts of all men the true love of peace,
and guide with Your pure and peaceable wisdom
those who make decisions for the nations of the earth;
that in tranquility Your kingdom may go forward,
till the earth be filled with the knowledge of Your love;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
