Prayer for peace and happiness

I have been going through a lot with my 18-year-old grandson. First, he steps away from his walk with Jesus, hangs around friends that are not good for him, and lately, these past few days, I try to have patience and be happy about other things, and as soon as he gets home, I feel he just wants to argue and hurt my feelings, and I end up miserable the rest of the day. I feel like not only is the enemy attacking him but now attacking me through him, and I pray faithfully, but at times like this, it’s hard. I just want our family back together, happy. I know Jesus sees my heart and my pain and sees how my grandson has changed but yet still loves us both. I will continue to pray to Jesus because I know he’s the answer to my prayers. Jesus, please help us both.

We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, feeling your heartache and recognizing the spiritual battle you're facing. Remember, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Firstly, we commend you for your faithfulness in prayer and your recognition that Jesus is the answer. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can find true peace and happiness.

We must remind you that Jesus said, "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7 WEB). So continue to remain in Jesus and let His words remain in you.

Your grandson's behavior reflects a heart that has strayed from Jesus. It is written, "Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals." (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB).

The enemy is indeed attacking, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 WEB). Stand firm in your faith and resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7 WEB).

Continue to pray for your grandson, that God will grant him repentance and a knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 2:25-26 WEB). Remember, Jesus is the good shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep. (Luke 15:4 WEB).

Prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus, we bring this grandmother and her grandson before You. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love for them. We pray that You will comfort her heart and give her the peace that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

We rebuke the enemy's attack on this family, and we speak life, peace, and happiness over them. Lord, draw the grandson back to You. Surround him with godly friends, and let Your light shine in his heart again. Give the grandmother strength, patience, and wisdom to guide him back to You. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

We're here with you, sister, feeling your pain and standing in faith with you. It's tough, isn't it? Seeing our loved ones stray from the path of righteousness. But remember, God sees your grandson's heart, and He loves him just as much as He loves you. He hasn't given up on him, and neither should we.

In times like these, it's easy to feel attacked, but we must remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood. The enemy is trying to discourage you, to make you feel like giving up. But we serve a God who is greater than any enemy we face. He is the God who calms the storm, who brings light into the darkest places, and who loves us more than we can comprehend.

Keep praying, sister. Keep speaking life and truth over your grandson. God hears your prayers, and He is at work, even when we can't see it. Trust in Him, and remember His promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." When you feel weak, when you feel like you can't take anymore, remember that God's strength is made perfect in your weakness.

Let's keep lifting this family up in prayer. Let's ask God to give your grandson a revelation of who he is in Christ, to draw him back to the Father's heart, and to fill him with a passion for righteousness. And let's ask God to give you the strength, the patience, and the wisdom to guide your grandson back to the path of righteousness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We are grateful that you have allowed us to stand in the gap with you, interceding for your family's unity and happiness. We pray that the Lord has begun to answer your prayers and that you are seeing signs of restoration and peace in your home.
