A Prayer of Surrender and Blessing

Fill him with a genuine, enduring love, and direct his steps in every way as he prepares for this journey..Father, we pray that You would stir a deep, genuine love and an undeniable spark between ### and me. May our time together be filled with grace, mutual understanding, and abundant joy, creating cherished, happy memories that will last a lifetime and he will petition me for a fiancee visa.

For Smooth Travel & Weather: We lift up ###'s travels starting November 3 and his arrival on November 5 till 11, as well as my flight on November 4. Grant us safety in every mode of transportation, from flights to car rides, and bless us with perfect weather throughout our time traveling and spending together.Praying for no cancelled trips and good weather.

For Work & Provisions: Father, we pray for the granting of my work leave and that all my pending tasks at work are completed smoothly, allowing me to redeem myself and serve with excellence. Please grant unhindered favor regarding work leave, making the path clear and worry-free.

For Family, Friends, and Loved Ones: We pray for ###'s brother, that You grant him strength and grace to accompany and look after their Mom and dogs while ### is away. Bless the precious time we will share together with my family and friends, filling those moments with warmth, laughter, and love.We also lift up everything and everyone being left behind in ###. Please watch over ###'s mom and keep her safe, comforted, and at peace during this time apart. Protect the dogs, keeping them healthy and secure in Your care.

Bless the time we share with my family and friends as they welcome us and as we gather together.

God calls every soul to face Him, so turn to Christ now to be ready for that meeting.
We join you with grateful hearts in lifting up this upcoming first meeting between November 3 and 11, and we praise God that you have placed every detail into His hands and desire His perfect will to be done. That posture of surrender is what He honors, for it is written, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. And, A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9.

We are encouraged by your desire for a love that endures and for a future marriage, and we pray with you toward that godly end. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman before God, and we view this time not as simply dating but as courtship with the clear goal of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. We encourage you to seek wisdom and counsel in this, for it is written, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray that both of you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that this relationship would be built on shared faith, so we encourage you to openly confirm where each of you stands with Christ, with your families, and with your pastors as you discern this next step including any petition for a fiancee visa. Such a step is not to be taken lightly, and we pray for much wisdom, for it is written, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5.

We also want to lovingly address purity during this precious time together. Because this is your first in person meeting and you will be spending several days together, we urge you to guard yourselves with clear boundaries to honor God. Scripture calls us to flee from sexual immorality, for it is written, For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5. And, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4. We encourage you to maintain separate accommodations, to avoid being alone in tempting settings, to spend time together with family and friends present, and to keep affection pure and accountable. A genuine spark is a gift, but biblical love is far more than emotion, it is patient, self controlled, and seeks the other's holiness above momentary desire.

We rejoice that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God, for it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6.

We now pray together with you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your sovereignty over all our plans. We surrender this journey from November 3 to 11 into Your hands. Let Your will be done above our own, and may every detail align with Your perfect purpose, for we know You work all things together for good for those who love You. Romans 8:28. We ask for Your divine hand of protection over every leg of travel, over flights and car rides for him arriving November 5 and for her flight on November 4, and we ask for good weather and no cancellations or delays if it is Your will. We claim Your promise that Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward and forevermore. Psalm 121:8, and that He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11.

Lord, we lift up ###'s heart and mind to You. Touch him, draw him closer to Yourself, and fill him with a genuine, enduring, Christlike love. Direct his steps as he prepares and travels. Stir in both of them not merely fleeting feelings but a deep, godly love rooted in respect, purity, grace, and truth. Let their time together be filled with mutual understanding, joy, and peace, and if it is Your will, confirm clearly whether You are leading them toward engagement and marriage. Help them to seek wise counsel and to not be hasty but to test all things against Your Word.

Father, we pray for smooth provision regarding work, that You would grant favor for work leave and help complete all pending tasks with excellence, removing worry and making the path clear. We pray for family and friends, for ###'s brother as he cares for their mother and for the dogs, grant him strength and grace. Watch over his mother, keep her safe, comforted, and at peace, and keep the dogs healthy and secure in Your care. Bless the time spent with family and friends, filling those gatherings with warmth, laughter, and love that honors You, for it is written, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

Lord, we surrender every financial burden to You, our Provider. You have promised, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Open doors, supply what is needed, and lift the weight of worry so their focus can remain on You and on discerning Your will with clear minds.

We commit these days into Your keeping, trusting that Your love goes before them and dwells within them. Keep them pure, keep them safe, and let all they do glorify You. In the precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We are holding these November days with you in prayer. A first meeting after so much planning and distance carries a lot of hope and also a lot of pressure, and we hear how much you want every detail to go well.

We are praying for your genuine needs in this, for safety in all the travel for both of you, for peace for the family and loved ones at home, and for clear wisdom for you both as you spend this time together and discern what is next. It is good you have invited family and friends into these days; staying close to trusted community while you get to know each other in person brings both support and clarity.

A practical step that may ease some worry is to get a few logistics settled in writing before you go: confirm your work leave approval and handoff of tasks so you can be fully present, double-check travel documents and itineraries, and make sure someone at home and someone near where you will be staying both know your daily plans and how to reach you.

Father, we place this journey and all who are part of it into Your hands. Grant safety on the road and in the air, provide for what is needed, watch over family at home, and give calm, honest discernment and grace to both as they meet. Lead them according to Your will and give peace whatever You have ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a good and wise thing to bring every plan before the Lord and to ask that your will may be made to yield to His will, for we know that all things work together for good to them that love God and that nothing happens but what He permits or ordains.

You have asked for many things concerning this journey between November ### and ###, for safety in travel, for favor in work, for provision, and for the care of family and loved ones left at home. These are lawful petitions, and we may bring them to the throne of grace, ever saying in thought if not in words, If the Lord will. It is foolish to say we will go and we will do this or that as though we could both propose and dispose, but it is blessed to feel that God is over all and we are under His control, and that His way, though it be in the sea and His path in the great waters, is still a way of wisdom and love. So we pray that the Lord will keep you in all your ways, grant safety by land and air, give good stewardship of weather and circumstance, grant you favor where work and duty call, supply every need according to His riches, and watch over the mother and brother and household and even the dogs that are left behind, for His eye is upon all His creatures.

Concerning the heart of this meeting, we must pray with holy caution. The Lord has the key of man's will and can make the unwilling willing in the day of His power, and the new birth and all true sanctification are the fruit of the will and purpose of God. We cannot ask God to merely stir a spark or to produce a fleeting affection, nor can we ask Him to bless any path that would lead outside His holy will. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it is to be kept pure within that covenant. If this friendship is to move toward such a covenant, then let it be pursued in righteousness and in the fear of God, with purity, with accountability, with family present and with no appearance of evil, fleeing all that would dishonor Christ. If it be of the Lord, we pray He will direct both hearts, grant genuine and enduring love that is patient and kind and holy, give mutual understanding and clear discernment, and make both willing to do His will. If it be not of Him, we pray He will in mercy close the door and turn your faces in the opposite direction, for His thoughts toward His people are everlasting thoughts of love and faithfulness.

Therefore we do not pray that you may simply obtain your desire, but that you may obtain what God has promised to give to those who seek Him first. He will give what He has promised, and prayer is the appointed means to lay His promise before Him and plead His faithfulness. Bring this matter daily before Him, ask for a clean heart and a right spirit, ask to be kept from presumption and from self will, and ask that whether He grants the fiancee visa and the hoped for future or withholds it, you may still say from the heart, Thy will be done.

May the Lord teach you in His school to see His hand in Providence as well as in grace, to learn of Him first and then to walk in what you have learned. Commit these days into His keeping, trust that His love goes before you and dwells within you when you dwell near to Him, and rest in this, that He who gave His Son will with Him also freely give you all things needful for life and godliness. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior we ask these things. Amen.
