We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for opportunities to work abroad. Father God, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust in Your divine plan for each of our lives. We ask that You open doors that no man can shut, providing clear and godly opportunities for this individual to serve and work in another country, should it align with Your will. Guide their steps, Lord, and let Your peace confirm the path You have set before them.
The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We stand on this promise, believing that You have a purpose and a plan for this season of life. We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we ask that You direct this journey, making the way clear and removing any obstacles that are not of You.
We pray for wisdom and discernment as decisions are made. May this individual seek Your will above all else, not being swayed by the desires of the world but being led by Your Spirit. If this opportunity is part of Your perfect plan, we ask that You provide favor in the eyes of those who make decisions, granting visas, work permits, and all necessary approvals in Your perfect timing.
We also lift up the spiritual aspect of this request. Working abroad can be both exciting and challenging, and we ask that You go before this individual, preparing their heart and mind for the new environment. Surround them with godly community, fellow believers who can encourage and support them in their walk with You. Protect them from loneliness, fear, or any temptation that may come their way. Let their light shine brightly in this new place, drawing others to You through their words and actions.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We also rebuke any plans of the enemy to distract or derail this individual from Your purpose. We stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also want to gently remind this individual that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If there is any uncertainty about their relationship with Christ, we encourage them to surrender their life to Him, confessing their sins and accepting the gift of salvation. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father, we ask that You bless this individual abundantly as they seek Your will. Whether the opportunity lies abroad or closer to home, we trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them walk in the fullness of Your purpose. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
