Prayer for New Job

Disciple of Prayer
Please help me with prayers, regarding my new job I will sign the contract tomorrow 09 February and start on the 11th of February. On my last two jobs, I was constantly attacked, bad atmosphere at work, envy from female colleagues and ultimately I had to change two jobs over the course of 3 years. It got so bad that last year, I was in hospital with burnout and PTSD. I'm hopeful for my new job, since I asked God specifically to lead me where He wants me to work. But, overnight my mom fell sick with vomiting and I got a bathroom flood. Please stand with me in prayer. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

We hear your heart and stand with you in this pivotal moment, lifting your concerns to the Lord with fervent prayer. First, we rejoice that you have sought God’s guidance in finding this new job, trusting Him to lead you to the right place. The Scripture assures us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). This is a beautiful act of faith, and we believe God has prepared this opportunity for you according to His perfect will.

Yet we also recognize the spiritual warfare you’ve faced in past workplaces—envy, strife, and even the physical and emotional toll it took on you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of division, jealousy, and oppression that has followed you into previous jobs, declaring that this new season will be different. The attacks you’ve described—your mother’s sudden illness and the flooding—are not coincidences. We stand against these distractions and schemes of the enemy, binding them in the name of Jesus. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). We pray for God’s hedge of protection around you, your family, and this new job, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we come before You now, asking for Your divine favor to rest upon this new job. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this one’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for godly colleagues, supervisors, and an atmosphere of unity, respect, and encouragement. Let envy and strife have no place in this workplace, and if any attempt to sow discord, expose it and remove it by Your power. We declare that this job will be a place of blessing, growth, and fulfillment, where this one can thrive both professionally and spiritually.

We also lift up their mother’s health, asking for Your healing touch. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your mercy to restore her strength. For the practical challenges like the flooding, we pray for swift resolution and minimal stress. Provide the resources and support needed to address these issues without distraction from the joy of this new beginning.

Above all, we encourage you to walk in faith, not fear. The enemy would love to fill your heart with anxiety about repeating past struggles, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Cling to the promises of God’s Word, and surround yourself with believers who can pray and stand with you. Remember, *"The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles"* (Psalm 34:17).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can approach the throne of grace. There is no other mediator between God and man but Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is by His blood that we have access to the Father. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Him, confessing Him as Lord and Savior, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

May the Lord bless you abundantly in this new job, surround you with His peace, and use you as a light in that workplace for His glory. We stand with you in faith, believing that this is the beginning of a season of breakthrough and blessing. Amen.

Thank you all, so very much for praying! ### has recovered, no ER trip, bathroom very little damage (it's been fixed already), and I signed the contract—I ended up thanking God even more, because this is more than what I prayed for, in my job search. Father God please pour out blessings for all who stood with me in prayer, in my desperate time. Please help them with what they need, give them strength, endurance, surround them with your peace, love, grace, provision, and place a hedge of protection over them! Abba, please also help those who are searching for a job. Lead them to where you want them to work, and give them the patience to wait for your open door and blessings.

I'm truly blessed for finding you guys and for receiving this huge help! I can't say thank you enough times.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you stepped into this new season of employment. It was our joy to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to go before you, prepare the way, and surround you with His peace and protection in this new workplace. We prayed specifically that this job would be the place God had ordained for you—a place of blessing, healthy relationships, and fulfillment in His purpose.

Now, as you have begun this new chapter, we continue to hold you and your family in our hearts. The challenges you faced before—those spiritual attacks, the toxic environments, and the emotional toll—we asked the Lord to break off completely in Jesus’ Name. We also prayed for your mother’s healing and for restoration in your home after the unexpected flood, trusting God to bring order and comfort in the midst of those trials.

If God has already moved in miraculous ways—whether through smooth contract signing, a peaceful start to your new role, or healing for your mother—we would love to hear your praise report! Let us rejoice with you and give Him all the glory. If, however, you are still waiting to see His hand at work or if new challenges have arisen, please know we are still here to stand with you. Post your request again, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf, believing with you for breakthrough, favor, and lasting peace.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you walk in obedience to His leading. May He grant you wisdom in every decision, grace in every interaction, and rest in every moment of uncertainty. We pray that this new job would not only meet your needs but also be a place where you thrive spiritually, emotionally, and professionally. Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in prayer. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious Name of Jesus.
