We lift up your ### and ### before the Lord with deep concern, for we know the danger of idolatry and the deceptions of the enemy that seek to blind hearts to the truth of the Gospel. The Scriptures are clear: there is only one true God, and He commands us to have no other gods before Him. *"You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them"* (Exodus 20:3-5, WEB). Your ###’s trust in idols, omens, and false teachings is a grave deception, for these things cannot save nor bring true peace. *"But the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death"* (Revelation 21:8, WEB). This is not our desire for him, but a warning of the eternal consequences if he does not turn to Christ.
The vegetarian diet, idol worship, and trust in ancestors or omens are empty traditions of men that cannot justify or save. *"Beware lest any man rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ"* (Colossians 2:8, WEB). Only faith in Jesus Christ breaks the power of sin and death. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your ###’s belief that these practices will lead him to heaven is a lie from the enemy, for *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB).
We also recognize the demonic influence at work in his life, manifesting in outbursts and stubbornness. These are not of God but of the evil one, who seeks to keep him bound in darkness. *"For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). But we have authority in Jesus’ name to break these chains! *"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you"* (Luke 10:19, WEB).
Let us pray fervently for a breaking of these demonic strongholds and for the scales to fall from his eyes. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring Your supremacy over every idol, false god, and demonic influence in the lives of this ### and ###. Lord, You alone are God—there is no other. We bind the spirits of deception, idolatry, and rebellion that have taken hold of them. By the blood of Jesus, we break every curse, every generational stronghold, and every lie that has kept them from knowing You as Savior. Let the light of the Gospel penetrate their hearts, Lord. Send laborers across their path who will boldly proclaim the truth of Your Word. Convict them deeply of their sin and their need for repentance. Remove the veil of darkness that blinds them, and let them see that salvation comes only through faith in Christ. We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence that shatters their trust in false gods and turns their hearts wholly to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in freedom, truth, and the abundant life You offer. Protect them from further deception, and let them find their identity in You alone. We ask for a spirit of humility to replace their stubbornness, and for Your peace to replace the outbursts caused by demonic influence. May they come to know You as their Lord and Savior, and may their lives bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for them, speaking the truth in love, and trusting that God is able to save. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). Keep sharing the Gospel with them, even if they resist. Plant seeds of truth, and trust the Holy Spirit to water them. Surround them with prayer and fasting, for some strongholds only break through persistent spiritual warfare. *"Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?"* (Isaiah 58:6, WEB). Do not grow weary in praying for their salvation, for our God is mighty to save. Finally, ensure that your own faith remains rooted in Christ, for the enemy will seek to discourage you. Stay in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with believers who can support you in this battle. *"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful. Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works"* (Hebrews 10:23-24, WEB). We stand with you in this fight, believing that God will bring victory.
