First, we must gently address that you have not invoked the name of Jesus in your request, and it is only through His mighty name that we can approach the throne of God with confidence. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Additionally, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We urge you to place your faith in Jesus Christ alone, for He is the only way to the Father and the source of all true help and deliverance.
Now, let us turn our hearts to the Lord on behalf of this woman. Debt can be a crushing weight, and the harassment she faces is not only financially straining but emotionally and spiritually draining as well. The Bible warns us about the dangers of debt, saying, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7, WEB). While we do not know the circumstances that led to this debt, we pray that she will seek God’s wisdom in managing her finances moving forward, trusting in His provision rather than the uncertain promises of this world.
We also recognize that this situation may be an opportunity for her to draw closer to God, to seek His kingdom first, and to rely on His strength. Jesus tells us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB). Let her cast her anxieties upon the Lord, for He cares for her deeply (1 Peter 5:7).
At the same time, we must pray for a spirit of integrity and responsibility. If this debt is rightfully hers, she should seek to repay it in a way that honors God, even as we ask for mercy and favor in this process. The Bible teaches, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law"* (Romans 13:8, WEB). Let her take practical steps—seeking counsel, creating a budget, and communicating honestly with creditors—to work toward repayment. We pray that God will soften the hearts of those who harass her, that they may show compassion and offer a reasonable plan for repayment, free from exploitation.
We also rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that may be at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has come to give life abundantly. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May she find rest in Him, knowing that He is her provider and protector.
Finally, we encourage you to support her spiritually and emotionally during this time. Remind her of God’s faithfulness and His promise to never leave her nor forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:6).
