Prayer for my ### son with ### influence and needs job.

Disciple of Prayer
I have a ### years old son who was on drugs since ###. He was in juvenile prison for ### months and later in the years I decided to send him to a rehab center by force through a policeman. He was so much in fear ever since young. This year in July he made a change by not consuming substance drugs such as pills and cannabis. Reasonably in ###, he started with a new drug substance EDM, which someone informed me. He had a fight and now is hiding in a room all the time without any meal except sometimes breakfast. He kept a distance from us parents. Our worry about his health as well as safety is making us lose courage. I prayed for my son years and I see he was saved in many circumstances, but I need help to bring him back and get a job. He didn't complete his O level. Kindly advise. My son's NSMD is ###. Thank you.

We lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that His power is made perfect in weakness and that He is able to deliver even from the deepest bondage. Your heartache as a parent is deeply felt, and we stand with you in intercession, believing that God is not finished working in your son’s life. The enemy has sought to destroy him through fear, addiction, and isolation, but we declare that the blood of Jesus covers him, and the Lord’s plans for his life are for good and not for evil, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

First, we must address the spiritual battle at hand. Your son’s struggle is not merely against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness that have ensnared him (Ephesians 6:12). The fact that he has turned to yet another dangerous substance (EDM) reveals that his heart is still in bondage, and the fear that has gripped him since youth is a tool the enemy uses to keep him trapped. But we serve a God who breaks chains! The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in your son’s life, and we command every spirit of addiction, fear, and rebellion to be broken in Jesus’ name.

We also recognize that your son’s isolation and refusal to engage with you is a tactic of the enemy to cut him off from godly influence. The Bible warns that "bad company corrupts good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33), and it is likely that his associations have led him further into darkness. Yet even now, God can place divine connections in his path—people who will speak truth, offer accountability, and point him to Christ. We pray that the Lord would send laborers into his life, men and women of God who will boldly share the Gospel with him and walk alongside him in discipleship.

As for his need for a job, we trust that the Lord is his Provider. Though he lacks formal education, God can open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray that the Lord would give him a heart to work with his hands, that he might find honest labor and begin to rebuild his life with dignity. Proverbs 13:4 tells us, "The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied." May the Lord stir in him a desire for productivity and purpose, breaking the lethargy that addiction has brought.

Yet we must speak plainly: true transformation will only come when your son surrenders his life to Jesus Christ. If he has not yet repented and placed his faith in Christ alone for salvation, then all other efforts will be temporary. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16), and without it, he remains in bondage to sin. We urge you to continue sharing the truth with him—that Jesus died for his sins, rose again, and offers freedom from every chain. There is no addiction too strong, no past too dark, that the blood of Jesus cannot cleanse. If he confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, he will be saved (Romans 10:9).

We also encourage you to examine your own walk with the Lord. Have you surrendered this battle entirely to God, or are you still trying to control the outcome in your own strength? Trusting God does not mean passivity, but it does mean releasing your son into His hands. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep praying, keep fasting, and keep speaking life over your son, but do so with the peace that comes from knowing God is sovereign.

Finally, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has tormented your son for so long. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command that spirit to leave him now in Jesus’ name. We also break the power of addiction over his mind and body, declaring that he is no longer a slave to sin but a child of the Most High God. May the Lord restore his appetite, his strength, and his desire to walk in freedom.

**Let us pray:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious son, who has been bound by addiction, fear, and rebellion for far too long. Lord, You see his heart, his pain, and his desperate need for You. We ask that You would break every chain that holds him captive—whether it be the chains of drugs, the chains of fear, or the chains of isolation. Father, draw him to Yourself in a way he cannot resist. Let him encounter Your love in a real and tangible way, so that he might turn from his sins and surrender his life to Jesus Christ.

We pray for divine intervention in his circumstances. If he is hiding in darkness, Lord, shine Your light into that room and expose every lie the enemy has whispered to him. Restore his appetite, his health, and his mind. Give him the strength to rise up and seek help. Place godly people in his path—those who will speak truth, offer support, and lead him to You.

Father, we ask that You would provide a job for him, not just for the sake of income, but as a means of restoring his dignity and purpose. Open doors that no man can shut, and give him the discipline to walk through them. Break the spirit of laziness and entitlement that addiction often brings, and replace it with a spirit of diligence and responsibility.

Most of all, Lord, we pray for his salvation. If he has not yet given his life to You, we ask that You would convict his heart and draw him into Your arms. Let him know that no sin is too great for Your forgiveness, and no bondage is too strong for Your power. May he experience the freedom that comes only through the blood of Jesus.

We also lift up this mother, who has carried this burden for so long. Strengthen her, Lord. Fill her with Your peace, and remind her that You are fighting this battle on her son’s behalf. Give her wisdom in how to love him well without enabling his sin. Unify this family in prayer and faith, and let them see Your hand move mightily in his life.

We rebuke every plan of the enemy to destroy this young man. Satan, you have no authority here. We declare that this son belongs to God, and we claim his life for the Kingdom. Every stronghold of addiction, fear, and rebellion must bow to the name of Jesus. We speak life, hope, and restoration over him, and we trust that You, Lord, will complete the good work You have begun in him.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us to lift your son before the Lord in prayer these past few days. It is both an honor and a sacred responsibility to stand with you in agreement, crying out to our Heavenly Father for his deliverance, restoration, and purpose. We know the weight of a mother’s heart—how the ache for your child’s safety, health, and future can feel overwhelming, especially after so many years of praying through storms that seemed endless. Yet even now, we cling to the truth that our God is the Redeemer of broken paths and the Father who pursues His children with relentless love.

We long to hear how the Lord is moving in your son’s life. If you’ve seen even the smallest glimmer of hope—a softened heart, a step toward reconciliation, or a door opening for work—we’d be so encouraged if you’d share a praise report with us. Every victory, no matter how small, is a testament to God’s faithfulness. And if the battle still rages, if the silence or the distance feels heavier than ever, please don’t hesitate to post an update so we can continue to surround your son in prayer. We won’t grow weary in interceding for him, because we serve a God who specializes in turning ashes into beauty.

In the waiting, we pray you’ll feel the Father’s arms holding you close, reminding you that He sees your tears, hears your cries, and is working even in the hidden places. We’re also lifting you up—that God would renew your strength, guard your heart against discouragement, and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. You’re not alone in this, dear sister. We’re here, standing with you, believing with you, and trusting that the Lord who has protected your son in the past will complete the good work He’s begun in him.

If you’re seeking practical wisdom, we’d gently encourage you to continue covering your son in Scripture—verses like Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 139:9-10, and 2 Corinthians 5:17 remind us of God’s plans, His presence, and His power to make all things new. Consider reaching out to local churches or Christian rehab ministries that offer job training or mentorship programs; sometimes, a community of believers can provide both spiritual and practical support for young men rebuilding their lives. Above all, keep praying. Your prayers are a lifeline, and we’re confident they’re breaking strongholds in ways we can’t yet see.

May the Lord bless you with fresh hope as you seek Him. May He open doors no man can shut for your son—doors to freedom, to purpose, and to a future where his story becomes a testimony of God’s grace. We’re not letting go of this request until we see His hand move mightily.

In Jesus’ powerful name.
