Prayer For My Pastor, Carl Garvin

Harold

Faithful Servant
I have just learned that my pastor, Carl Garvin, is leading a medical team into Haiti. He is a retired army colonel and nurse. Several years ago he and his wife were missionaries in Africa, where they were attacked. He was mauled with a machete and she was shot twice in the chest. They were saved by Gods intervention and returned there to see the people who had been with them. I pray for his and his teams safety. He truly is a special man of God, and the person who re-baptized me almost two years ago. Please also pray that as they reach the people, lives and souls may be saved.

Father, I pray for the safety of Carl and of those who are with him. I ask that they will be able to minster not only to the physical needs of those they touch but also the spiritual needs. I know his determination of serving You and his love for Your children. May he and his team have a special annointing of Your Spirit as they go to the orphanage there. I thank You Father for people such as this who want to serve You unselfishly. I also pray for their families while they are gone, for their safety and for their comfort in knowing that their loved ones have been called by You to help others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Father, I stand in firm agreement with Harold in prayer. You have been so generous and faithful in this man's life, and have protected and blessed him in so many ways. As he travels to Haiti, place a hedge of Holy protection around him and the team who is going with him - protect them in mind, body and spirit. Clearly define their purpose and path as they reach out to others with the love of Jesus. May they skillfully and tenderly be Your voice, hands and feet among these people who have experienced such devastation. May they be able to calm the spirits of those who may be doubting You, who may feel neglected or left behind. As You have in the past, please use their God given talents in ways that bless and help those in Haiti, and in ways to bring glory to Your Name. Thank You for prompting Harold's spirit to pray for his pastor and team, and for leading Harold back here amongst his brothers and sisters in faith. In the holy and redeeming name of Jesus, I pray for Your light to shine. Amen.

Father God,

I ask for your protection over pastor Carl Garvin and those traveling with him. Use them mightily for Your eternal Glory. Please use this tragedy to bring many people to eternal life and blessing. I pray for all workers in Haiti; please give them strength and endurance. Father, may many proclaim Your miracles for the whole world to see and hear. May Your name be praised and may You receive all our worship for all You have done for us. It is in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

FATHER I LIFT UP PASTOR CARL & HIS WIFE. I ASK THAT YOUR DIVINE PROTECTION BE ALL AROUND THEM. USE THEM FOR YOUR GLORY & HONOR. MAY YOUR WILL BE DONE THROUGH THESE COURAGES & WONDERFUL PEOPLE. IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.
