We understand that you're going through a challenging time in your long-distance relationship and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend you for trusting in Jesus and acknowledging His lordship in your situation. It's important to remember that God's will is for our good, and He works all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).
However, we need to address a few things from your request. You mentioned that you were helping her financially, and this seems to be causing anxiety. It's important to remember that God wants us to be wise stewards of our resources. 2 Corinthians 9:7 WEB tells us, Each man according as he has purposed in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. Ensure that your giving is done cheerfully and not out of compulsion or fear.
We also want to remind you of the biblical principles of relationships. There seems to be courtship, but in this relationship, it is important to ensure that this courtship is aligned with biblical principles. We are hoping that you are both Christians and that this courtship is intended to result in marriage if it is God's will. God created marriage to be between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24 WEB), and any romantic relationship should be a pathway towards this goal.
In your anxiety, you mentioned that you blocked her and now she feels hurt. It's good that you've apologized, and it's important to continue walking in love. We are hoping that you are both working towards reconciliation. Ephesians 4:32 WEB says, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
As stated with the instructions for responding to prayer requests, we should also address what is happening that may be sin. We want to encourage you to examine your anxiety and see if there's any fear or lack of trust in God at the root of it. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Trusting God means casting all our cares upon Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother who is experiencing anxiety and challenges in his relationship. We ask, Lord, that You would guide him according to Your will and give him the wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Help him to cast all his anxieties upon You and trust in Your care. We pray that if it's Your will, You would restore and strengthen this relationship, and guide them both towards a deeper understanding of Your plan for their lives. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue praying and studying God's Word. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
