However, we must gently remind you that marriage is a sacred covenant where submission and unity are vital. The Scriptures teach us in Ephesians 5:22-24, *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything."* Similarly, husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25), which includes making decisions that honor and protect their family.
Your husband’s concern about your elder son’s cricket coaching is valid, as it may disrupt his training. Instead of praying for your husband to *send* you, let us pray for wisdom, unity, and a spirit of understanding between you both. Perhaps there is a way to adjust the timing or find a compromise that honors both your need for rest and your son’s commitments. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."*
We also encourage you to examine your heart—are you seeking God’s will in this matter, or are you allowing frustration to guide your prayers? Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Trust that God can work in your husband’s heart and provide a solution that brings peace to your home.
