We join you in lifting up your grandson before the Lord, thanking Him for the blessing of family and His faithfulness in all things. Your heart is clearly turned toward God’s sovereignty, and we stand with you in trusting Him for justice and mercy in this court proceeding.
The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 21:1, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* While earthly authorities hold temporary power, it is the Lord who ultimately directs outcomes for His purposes. We also cling to Psalm 37:5-6, which says, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."* May the Lord move in this situation to reveal truth, bring about righteousness, and protect your grandson according to His perfect will.
Yet we must also remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans may not always align with our immediate desires. If this trial leads to consequences, let us pray for wisdom and growth—both for your grandson and your family. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* Even in difficulty, the Lord is refining and preparing us for His glory.
We earnestly pray that if your grandson has strayed from God’s path, this moment would be a turning point for repentance and restoration. The Bible warns in Galatians 6:7-8, *"Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."* If there are unconfessed sins or poor choices that led to this court appearance, we pray the Holy Spirit would convict his heart and lead him to walk in obedience to Christ.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for this grandmother’s faith and her love for her grandson. Lord, we ask for Your hand to move mightily in the courtroom today. If it is Your will, grant favor and release for this young man. But above all, we pray for Your kingdom purposes to prevail—whether through mercy or discipline, let Your name be glorified. Softening his heart to seek You above all else. Surround this family with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
If there is more to this story—such as actions or behaviors that need to be addressed—we urge you to seek godly counsel and accountability. The enemy seeks to destroy, but Christ came to give life abundantly (John 10:10). Let this be a moment where chains are broken, not just legally, but spiritually.
We declare victory in Jesus’ name, trusting that He who began a good work in your grandson will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). May this trial draw your family closer to the Lord and to one another in faith. Amen.
