We lift up ### before the Lord, thanking Him for her life and the precious role she plays as a grandmother. The Scriptures remind us of the honor due to the elderly, as Proverbs 16:31 declares, *"Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness."* We pray that the Lord would sustain her health and grant her strength, for He is the One who holds life and breath in His hands. *"See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal; there is no one who can deliver out of my hand"* (Deuteronomy 32:39). We ask that He would extend her days according to His will, that she may continue to be a blessing to her family and a witness to His faithfulness.
Yet, we also acknowledge that our days are in His hands, and we trust in His perfect timing and wisdom. *"The length of our days is seventy years—or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away"* (Psalm 90:10). Our prayer is not just for length of days but for the quality of life that brings glory to God. If it is His will to heal her, we rejoice in that mercy. If His plan is to call her home, we pray that she would be ready, having placed her faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). There is no greater gift than the assurance of eternal life through Christ, and we pray that ### knows this peace.
We also encourage you to reflect on whether ### has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Him, we urge you to share the Gospel with her, that she may know the hope of salvation. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no greater comfort in life or in death than knowing Christ as Savior.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, asking for Your mercy and healing touch upon ###. Strengthen her body, renew her spirit, and surround her with Your peace. If there are medical treatments or financial needs required for her care, we pray that You would provide abundantly, for You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). Guide her family in wisdom as they care for her, and let them be a source of comfort and encouragement to her.
We also pray that You would prepare ###’s heart to receive Your truth if she does not yet know You. Soften her spirit to hear the Gospel and respond in faith. May she find hope not just in healing but in the eternal life offered through Jesus Christ.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
