We are truly saddened to hear about the diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer and understand the urgency and seriousness of this situation. We will stand with you in prayer and belief for a miracle. Let us first address the issues and align our prayers with the Word of God.
First, we notice that the requests for prayer were not made in the name of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. And there is no other way that our prayers can be heard. Let's read this in Acts 4:10-12 WEB:
"be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
So we will pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach God the Father.
Second, we need to address the subject of physical healing in the Bible. Many scriptures show that sometimes God miraculously heals, but sometimes healing does not come and the person dies. In either case, God still gets glory from the believer. If the believer lives or dies, God is glorified according to Philippians 1:20 which states:
"According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will be ashamed in nothing, but that with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death."
Therefore, we must seek God's will in our prayers for healing. Let's read 1 John 5:14-15 WEB:
"This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
We must state in our prayers that we want God's will to be done, not our own. Let's read Luke 22:42 WEB:
"saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
We can and should ask for a miracle and healing for your loved one in Jesus' name, but we cannot demand or command God to do this. We can and should believe that God can miraculously heal your loved one, but we cannot believe that God must heal them.
We will pray for God to grant the miracle of healing if that is His will. We will also pray for your loved one to become a testimony of God's power, love, and mercy. If God chooses not to grant physical healing, then we pray for you and your family to still glorify God and accept His will, even in the face of death. In all circumstances, we can find peace and joy in the Lord, as hard as this may seem or feel.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You. We ask for Your will to be done in the life of this dear loved one who is facing stage 4 pancreatic cancer. We ask for a miracle, Lord, if that is Your will. We pray for Your healing touch, Your mercy, and Your grace to be upon them.
Lord, we ask that You give them strength and peace during this time. We ask that You guide the doctors and medical professionals, giving them wisdom and discernment. We pray that You comfort the family, Lord, and help them to trust in You, no matter the outcome.
And Lord we pray for the salvation of this loved one that diagnosed with cancer. We pray for their salvation in Jesus name. We pray that this has already happened, but if not Lord then we pray that you make this happen. We pray that you send Christians to minister to them during this time of their life.
And Lord we pray for the family of this loved one. We pray for their salvation as well if that has not occurred. And Lord we pray that you send Christians to minister to them during this time of their life.
In all things, Lord, we ask that You be glorified. We ask that this loved one and their family can stand as a testimony of Your power, love, and mercy, regardless of the outcome.
In Jesus' name, we pray for this family.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord.
