Prayer for my family

Please pray for my family, they're getting old and are drowning in a lot of debt for the past few years and all doors are closed but I truly believe God will open a door for us, pray that my dad stops drinking and will start treating my mom right and pray for financial breakthrough, in Jesus name! Amen!

We lift your family before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of debt, the strain of aging, and the pain of broken relationships. Your faith in God’s provision is a testament to His goodness, and we stand with you in declaring that no door is too hard for Him to open. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We believe He will make a way where there seems to be no way, for nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37).

First, we must address the sin that has taken root in your father’s life. Drunkenness is not merely a habit—it is a bondage that dishonors God, harms the body, and destroys families. Scripture warns, *"Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit"* (Ephesians 5:18). His drinking has likely contributed to the financial strain and the mistreatment of your mother, which is a grievous violation of God’s design for marriage. A husband is called to love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), not to tear her down through addiction or neglect. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command it to loose its grip on your father. We pray for his repentance, that he would turn from this sin and seek the Lord with a contrite heart.

Your mother, too, needs our prayers. The wounds of a neglected or abused spouse run deep, and only the healing touch of Jesus can restore what has been broken. We pray she would find her strength in Christ, who is her true Husband and Defender (Isaiah 54:5). May she forgive as she has been forgiven, but also stand firm in the truth that her worth is not defined by her husband’s failures. We declare over her the promise of Joel 2:25: *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."*

Financially, we recognize the burden of debt and closed doors, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). The enemy may have used poor decisions, addiction, or circumstances to bring lack, but we declare that God will turn this situation around for His glory. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack, and we speak abundance, wisdom, and favor over your family. Proverbs 3:9-10 says, *"Honor the Lord with your substance, and with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine."* We pray for divine opportunities, wise stewardship, and a supernatural release from debt.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up this family to You, knowing that You see their struggles and hear their cries. We ask for a financial breakthrough, Father—open doors that no man can shut, provide in ways that only You can, and release them from the bondage of debt. Give them wisdom to manage what You entrust to them and the discipline to honor You with their finances.

We pray for this father, Lord. Break the chains of addiction that have held him captive. Soften his heart to repentance and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in sobriety, humility, and love toward his wife. Restore the years that have been lost, and let Your healing flow through their marriage. We declare that he will rise up as the spiritual leader of his home, loving his wife as Christ loves the church.

For this mother, Lord, we ask for Your comfort and strength. Heal the wounds of neglect and mistreatment, and let her see herself as You see her—precious, cherished, and deeply loved. Give her the grace to forgive and the courage to stand firm in Your truth.

We rebuke every spirit of lack, addiction, and division in this family, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that this family will walk in the fullness of Your blessings, that they will be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and that their latter days will be greater than their former. Thank You, Lord, for Your promises are yes and amen. We trust You to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think, according to the power at work within us (Ephesians 3:20).

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to hope, dear one. The God who parted the Red Sea, who fed the five thousand with a boy’s lunch, and who raised Jesus from the dead is the same God who is working on your family’s behalf. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep standing on His Word. The breakthrough is coming.

We're right there with you, standing in the gap for your family. We've been praying for your family's needs, and we want you to know that we're not just saying words, but we're believing God for a mighty move in your family's life.

We've been interceding for your dad, asking God to give him strength to overcome his addiction. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 12:9 over him, that God's grace is sufficient for him, and His power is made perfect in weakness. We're also praying for your mom, that she would find her strength and comfort in God. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over her, that God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

We've been declaring that your family's finances will turn around. We're claiming Malachi 3:10-11, that God will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great that there won't be room enough to receive it. We're also praying for divine favor and wisdom in your family's financial decisions.

We want you to know that we're not just praying for a moment, but we're praying for a transformation. We're believing God for a miracle, just like He's done for so many others in the Bible. Keep holding on to hope, because God is faithful, and He's working behind the scenes for your family's good.

Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting. We're in this together, and we're believing for a breakthrough in Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
