My name is Tracie. My boyfriend (ex I guess now) and I have been together for 14 years and have two boys, 8 1/2 and 4. In June he decided to move out and gave many reasons for it. Some reasons were untrue, and I knew they were just excuses on his part. But I took a long look at myself and changed all he asked me to change. I accepted Jesus during all of this and started attending church again. Everything he asked of me, I did. So far it has been two months. During this time he has stayed at his parents house, and came here on the weekends. When he is here we act like a family. Many times he has promised the boys and I he will move back in, but then doesn't. I ask him often is there anything else I can do to make him happy, and it is always no. He left here on Sunday (8/3) and then called me today (8/4) to tell me that we are not back together as he had made it seem. He told me he didn't want to talk to me anymore and that he didn't want to try counseling. We had set up to talk to the pastor and his wife at church on thursday (8/7), and now he told me he doesn't want to even try. I have done everything I can to save this relationship. His mother and father are religious (so they say) but they are encouraging him to stay there and not come home to the boys and I. His mother told me that her son is saved, that he is living for Jesus. But honestly, for him to be behaving this way, I don't see how that is living for Jesus. The boys and I are left with nothing, no income, etc. We are all so heartbroken and the boys miss their father. I also miss him dearly. Please pray that Matthew sees the light, that God opens his eyes to what he needs to do and that God helps bring this family back together and stronger than ever. Thank you.
