Prayer for my family, country, faith, patient

Beloved of All
I am a South African Citizen what is happening here is very worrying me, we more than 100 political parties and they are fighting each other and unfortunately most of them are from the governing party which is African National Congress, they stole from tax payers money, and those who left want to come to loot again, prayers please for unity in the governing party, corruption, nepotism I am worried or we are in the last days people are dying, no love, fighting for positions no remorse so I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ for the governing party to do the right thing, Nasfas must pay for students who can't afford for education, crime.

We hear your deep concern for your family, your country, and your faith, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting these burdens before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The turmoil in South Africa weighs heavily on your heart, and we share your grief over the corruption, division, and lack of godly leadership that plagues not only your nation but many around the world. Scripture warns us that in the last days, people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:1-4). What you describe, selfish ambition, theft of public funds, and the pursuit of power at the expense of the people, is a stark fulfillment of these warnings. Yet even in these dark times, we are called to be light and salt, praying fervently and trusting in God’s sovereignty.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother in South Africa and for the nation he loves. Lord, You alone are the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and no government rises or falls without Your permission (Daniel 2:21). We pray for the leaders of the African National Congress and all political parties in South Africa, that You would convict their hearts of sin and turn them from wickedness. Expose every act of corruption, nepotism, and theft, and let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). Father, we ask that You would break the spirit of division and greed that has taken hold, and replace it with a hunger for integrity, service, and unity. Raise up godly leaders who will fear You more than man, who will prioritize the needs of the people over their own gain, and who will govern with wisdom and humility.

Lord, we lift up the issue of education, particularly for those who cannot afford it. We pray for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) and all those responsible for its administration, that You would purify their motives and systems. Let the funds intended for students reach them without delay or misappropriation. Provide for every young person who seeks to learn and better their future, and let education be a tool for lifting people out of poverty, not a weapon for exploitation. We declare that no child of God should be denied the opportunity to study because of corruption or mismanagement. You are the God who provides, and we trust You to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).

Father, we cry out to You about the rampant crime in South Africa. Protect the innocent, Lord, and bring swift justice to those who prey on the vulnerable. We rebuke the spirit of violence and lawlessness in Jesus’ name, and we ask that You would restore peace to communities, cities, and homes. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of Your people (Philippians 4:7). We pray for the police, the judicial system, and all those in authority tasked with maintaining order, that they would act with fairness, courage, and integrity. Where there is fear, replace it with faith; where there is despair, replace it with hope.

We also pray for the Church in South Africa, that believers would rise up as a united force for righteousness. Let the body of Christ be a beacon of truth, love, and justice in the midst of darkness. Equip pastors and leaders to preach the full counsel of Your Word, to call sin what it is, and to disciple believers who will stand firm in their faith. We ask that You would revive the hearts of Your people, that they would seek You first above all else, and that revival would sweep across the nation. Let the love of Christ compel us to care for the poor, the orphan, the widow, and the oppressed, showing the world that true change comes from You alone.

Lord, we reject the lie that these are the "last days" in the sense that all hope is lost. While we acknowledge the signs of the times, we also know that You are not surprised by any of this, and Your purposes will prevail. We declare that South Africa is not forsaken, and that You have a plan for her future. We pray for a spiritual awakening that would transform hearts, families, and systems from the inside out. Let the Gospel of Jesus Christ penetrate every corner of society, bringing repentance, healing, and restoration.

Finally, Father, we pray for our brother and his family. Strengthen him in his faith, and let him not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Surround him with a community of believers who will encourage him, pray with him, and stand with him in this battle. Give him wisdom to navigate these challenging times, and let him be a light in his sphere of influence. Remind him that his hope is not in politicians or systems, but in You alone. You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and the only name by which we can come boldly before Your throne. May Your will be done in South Africa as it is in heaven. Amen.

We’re praying with you, brother, and feeling the weight of your heart for your family, your country, and the future of South Africa. It’s clear how deeply you love this land and its people, even in the midst of such division and despair, your faith remains steadfast. We see the frustration, the fear, and the longing for change, and we want to stand with you in this.

Lord, we lift up the leaders of the ANC and every political party, asking that You would soften their hearts and reveal the true cost of their actions, not just to the nation, but to their own souls. Show them, in ways only You can, the emptiness of power when it’s built on greed and selfish ambition. Let the Spirit of truth expose the corruption, but also let Your mercy break through, turning even the hardest hearts toward repentance.

We pray for the people, those who are hurting, those who are hungry, those who are afraid. Lord, open doors for those who can’t afford education. Let NSFAS work with integrity, and let every student who deserves an opportunity receive it. And where crime and violence have taken root, we ask for Your peace to rise up like a shield over the innocent. Protect the families, the children, the elderly, those who can’t protect themselves.

But beyond all this, we’re praying for you. You’re carrying a heavy load, and we don’t want you to carry it alone. Fill you with Your strength, renew your hope, and remind you that Your kingdom is coming, even if it doesn’t look like it yet. Surround you with believers who can stand with you, encourage you, and remind you that Your ways are higher than ours.

We declare that South Africa will not be defined by its struggles, but by the power of Your Spirit working in and through its people. Let revival begin in the hearts of those who love You, and let that love overflow into every corner of this nation. In Jesus’ name, we trust You. Amen.
