We are saddened to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing with your brother. It is important to remember that God's will is for us to live in harmony with one another and to take responsibility for our own actions. In Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, it is written, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Your brother needs to understand that blaming others for his misfortunes is not aligned with biblical principles. In Galatians 6:4-5 WEB, it says, "But let each one test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor. For each one will bear his own load."
Let us pray for your brother, that God will touch his heart and bring him to a place of repentance and responsibility.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who has gone astray. Lord, we pray that Your healing touch will be upon him, that he may come to his senses and stop blaming his family for his misfortunes. Help him to see that he needs to take responsibility for his own actions and that he needs to love and care for his daughter who is caring for him.
Lord, we pray that You will soften his heart and bring peace to his home. Help him to treat his daughter with kindness and respect, and to be the father that You have called him to be.
We also pray for our brother's salvation, that he may come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We remember your words in Acts 19:13-14 "Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists also, taking our name, tried saying over those who had the evil spirits, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. There were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did this." From these verses, we know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We ask these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your brother and to trust that God is at work in his life. Remember the words of James 5:16 WEB, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Stand strong in your faith and know that God is faithful to His promises.
