We hear your cry for help and lift up your daughter and precious grandson before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only mediator between God and man. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they can trust (Psalm 91:2).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of abandonment and cruelty that has left these beloved children of Yours in such a vulnerable state. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their minds, and their circumstances. Protect them from all harm, danger, and evil influences that may seek to prey upon their vulnerability. Surround them with Your holy angels to guard and keep them, as You have promised in Your Word (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we ask that You provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Open doors of provision and favor that no man can shut, and lead them to people of peace who will show them kindness and compassion. Soften the hearts of those around them, Lord, and let them find shelter, warmth, and safety in this trying time. We pray against any temptation to despair or fear, reminding them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also lift up the situation with the individuals who took them in. Lord, we ask that You intervene in that environment. Expose any ungodly motives or actions, and let Your light shine in the darkness. If there is any sin or unrighteousness present, we ask that You bring conviction and repentance. Protect Your children from any form of exploitation, abuse, or harm, and let them be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve as Your creations.
Father, we pray for wisdom and strength for this young mother as she navigates these next two weeks. Give her discernment to make wise decisions and the courage to seek help when needed. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Strengthen her faith and let her lean not on her own understanding, but trust in You with all her heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray for the grandmother who turned them away. Lord, we ask that You break her heart with the things that break Yours. Bring conviction and repentance for her actions, and let her see the error of her ways. Soften her heart to make amends and restore what has been broken. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
As they prepare for their flight, Lord, we ask that You go before them and make their paths straight. Calm any anxiety or fear about the journey, and let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Provide safe and smooth travels, and let them arrive at their destination without incident.
We declare that this trial will not break them, but rather, it will build their faith and draw them closer to You. Use this time to strengthen their trust in You, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. May they come to know You more intimately and rely on You as their Provider, Protector, and Father.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke every spirit of poverty, lack, and hopelessness that may be trying to take root in their lives. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, hope, and restoration over their situation, and we trust in Your perfect timing and plan for their lives.
Father, we also lift up the one who has shared this request. Comfort them in their concern and anxiety for their loved ones. Remind them that You are in control and that their prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16). Strengthen their faith and let them see Your hand at work in this situation.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to Your promises. We trust in You to bring Your children through this trial, and we look forward to the testimony of Your goodness and provision that will come from it. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your will be done in their lives.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
