We join you in lifting up your heart of gratitude to our Heavenly Father, who has entrusted you with the precious gift of children. Your love and appreciation for them is a beautiful reflection of God’s own heart for His people. We rejoice with you in thanking Him for guiding you and covering your children, and most of all, for their salvation—what a glorious blessing!
Yet, as we pray, we must gently remind you that prayer is only heard and answered through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, acknowledging His authority and Lordship over your life and the lives of your children.
We also pray that you would lean on God’s strength in every area of parenting, especially in moments when you feel overwhelmed or ill-equipped. *"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'"* (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). He is faithful to equip you as you seek Him. If there are areas where you feel you are struggling—whether in discipline, spiritual leadership, or emotional connection—we encourage you to seek His wisdom and guidance. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* (James 1:5, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this parent and their children. Thank You for the gift of these precious lives and for the salvation You have granted them. Lord, we ask that You continue to cover them with Your protection, wisdom, and grace. Strengthen this parent in every way—emotionally, spiritually, and physically—so they may lead their children in Your ways. Help them to rely on You in moments of weakness, knowing that Your power is perfected in their dependence on You.
We pray that You would draw each child closer to You, that they would grow in faith and walk in obedience to Your Word. Guard their hearts and minds from the snares of the enemy, and let them be lights in this world, shining for Your glory. Give this parent discernment to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and let their home be a place where Your peace and love abound.
Lord, we also ask that You would remind this parent to always come before You in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne. May they find their strength, hope, and identity in Christ alone.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
