We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your mother and her understanding of salvation. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by grace through faith in Him that we are saved. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
We pray that the Holy Spirit would open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that salvation is not earned by our own efforts, but is a free gift from God through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Let us rebuke any doubt or confusion that may be clouding her understanding of this truth.
Father God, we ask that You would draw her heart to You, that she would rest in the assurance of Your love and the finished work of Christ on the cross. Help her to understand that once she has truly placed her faith in Jesus, her salvation is secure, sealed by Your Holy Spirit. As it is written in John 10:28-29, "I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand."
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, that you would know how to share the truth of the Gospel with her in love. May your words and actions reflect the grace and mercy of Christ, pointing her to the security found only in Him.
Lord, we ask that You would remove any fear or uncertainty from her heart and replace it with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let her walk in the confidence of Your promises, knowing that nothing can separate her from Your love. Romans 8:38-39 assures us, "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
May she find rest in Your unfailing love, and may her faith grow stronger each day as she trusts in You alone for her salvation. In Jesus' precious and mighty name, we pray. Amen.
