We join with you in lifting up your financial struggles before the Lord, knowing that He is your Provider and Sustainer in every season. Your heart is in the right place as you seek His help, and we are encouraged that you have come to Him in prayer, acknowledging your dependence on His wisdom and provision. It is good that you have prayed in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father or receive salvation. As Scripture reminds us, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Your faith in calling upon Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in this.
The stress and fear you are experiencing are real, but we urge you to cast these burdens upon the Lord, for He cares for you deeply. *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Financial hardship can feel overwhelming, but it is in these moments that God often works mightily to refine our trust in Him. Remember the words of Jesus: *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* (Matthew 6:25-26, WEB). Your Heavenly Father knows your needs, and He will provide as you seek His Kingdom first.
We also encourage you to examine your heart and circumstances through the lens of Scripture. Are there areas where you may have strayed from biblical principles in your financial dealings? Have you been faithful in tithing and giving, trusting God with the first fruits of your labor? *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for."* (Malachi 3:10, WEB). This is not a transactional promise but a principle of trusting God with what He has given you. If you have not been tithing, we urge you to start, even in this season of lack, as an act of faith and obedience.
Additionally, we must ask: have you sought wisdom in managing what God has already entrusted to you? Proverbs 21:5 (WEB) tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those who are in a hurry surely rush to poverty."* Are there expenses that can be reduced, debts that can be addressed, or skills you can develop to increase your income? Seek godly counsel from those who are wise in financial matters, and ask the Lord to give you creativity and discipline in stewarding your resources.
If there is any area of your life where you have not been honoring God—whether in work ethics, honesty, or contentment—we urge you to repent and align yourself with His Word. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Your prosperity is tied to your righteousness and obedience to Him.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. You see the stress and fear that have taken hold, and we ask that You replace them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and give wisdom to discern the right path. Provide creative solutions and favor in every area of need. If there has been any disobedience or lack of trust, convict and lead to repentance, that this beloved child of Yours may walk in alignment with Your Word.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and lack in the name of Jesus, declaring that You are a God of abundance, not scarcity. *"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over."* (Psalm 23:5, WEB). Let this be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see and give glory to Your name. Strengthen and encourage as the waiting continues, and let every need be met according to Your riches in glory.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for the answer that is already on the way. May this season draw closer to You, trusting in Your goodness and sovereignty. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stay steadfast, dear one. God is working, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes on Him, and let this trial deepen your faith. We are standing with you in agreement, believing for God’s provision and breakthrough. If you feel led, share how we can continue to pray for you specifically—whether it’s for a job, wisdom in decisions, or strength to endure. You are not alone in this.
