We hear your cry, and our hearts ache with yours as you face this overwhelming trial. You are not forgotten, and your struggle is seen by the One who promises never to leave nor forsake His children. The pain of being ignored by family—those you’ve shown kindness to in the past—cuts deep, and the fear of homelessness is a heavy burden to carry. But we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your needs to the Father who cares for you more than the sparrows He feeds and the lilies He clothes.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You’ve called on the Lord Jesus, and that is where true help begins. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). Your dependence on Him is not in vain, for He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who is lost (Luke 15:4). You are not lost to Him, even if you feel abandoned by others.
We rebuke the hardness of heart in your cousins. Scripture warns us that in the last days, the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12), but this does not excuse their lack of compassion. The Bible commands us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and to show hospitality without grumbling (1 Peter 4:9). Their silence is not a reflection of your worth but of their own spiritual condition. We pray that the Lord would convict them, soften their hearts, and open their eyes to your need. May they remember the kindness you’ve shown them in the past and respond with the same generosity you extended to them.
But we also encourage you not to place your hope in man. Psalm 146:3-5 warns, "Don’t put your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God." Your cousins may fail you, but the Lord never will. He knows your need before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and He is able to provide in ways you cannot imagine.
We lift up your finances to the Lord, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). The $### for the hotel is a tangible need, but we trust that the God who fed Elijah by ravens (1 Kings 17:4-6) and multiplied the widow’s oil (2 Kings 4:1-7) can make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for creative provision—a job opportunity, an unexpected gift, or a door opened by His hand. May He rebuke any spirit of lack and replace it with His abundance.
For your spirit walk, we pray that you would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The enemy would love to use this trial to plant seeds of bitterness, doubt, or despair, but we declare that your faith will not fail. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." You are not walking this path alone. The Holy Spirit is your Comforter (John 14:26), and He will sustain you even in the lobby of this hotel.
For your health, we ask the Lord to strengthen your body, mind, and emotions. The stress of this situation can take a toll, but we pray that you would cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). May He grant you rest, peace, and the physical strength to endure this season. Remember, even when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with you (Psalm 23:4).
We also pray for your dog, who is a responsibility the Lord has entrusted to you. May He provide a safe place for both of you to stay, whether through a shelter that allows pets, a kind stranger, or a divine appointment with someone who can help.
Above all, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He endured the cross for the joy set before Him, and He understands your suffering. He was despised and rejected by men (Isaiah 53:3), so He knows the pain of being forsaken by those you love. But He also rose victorious, and He promises that you will share in that victory.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ. You see her need, and You hear her cry. We ask that You would move mightily on her behalf. Soften the hearts of her cousins, provide for her financial needs, strengthen her spirit, and guard her health. Let her not be overwhelmed by this trial but instead see Your hand at work in every detail. Remind her that she is precious in Your sight and that You have plans for her—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Surround her with Your presence, Lord, and let her feel Your love in tangible ways. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Do not lose heart. The testing of your faith produces perseverance, and perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:3-4). This season is not the end of your story. The Lord is writing a testimony of His faithfulness in your life, and we believe He will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in faith. You are not homeless—you are a child of the King, and your Father has a home prepared for you (John 14:2). In the meantime, He will provide a way.
