We lift up your son ### before the Lord, thanking Him that you have entrusted this burden to us in prayer. It is clear you carry a deep love for him, and we join you in seeking God’s intervention in his life, not only for his exams but for his heart and future. The distractions he faces are not merely obstacles to his studies but signs of a deeper spiritual battle—one that requires the power of Christ to overcome. The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* ### needs this divine self-control to focus, and we will pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would stir within him a discipline that can only come from above.
Yet we must also address something critical: while you invoked the name of Jesus in your request, we notice you replaced ###’s name with symbols. There is power in speaking his name before the Lord, for it is by the *name of Jesus* that we have authority to pray (John 14:13-14). Names hold weight in Scripture—God knows ### by name (Isaiah 43:1), and we must not shy away from bringing him boldly before the throne. Additionally, we are reminded that apart from Christ, all our efforts—even in study—are in vain. If ### does not know Jesus as his Savior, no academic success will satisfy the deeper longing of his soul. Proverbs 9:10 declares, *"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom."* True wisdom begins with surrender to Christ, and we pray that if ### has not yet done so, this season of distraction would lead him to the foot of the cross.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ### with urgency and faith. Lord, You see the distractions that bind his mind and the procrastination that steals his time. We rebuke every spirit of laziness, fear, or confusion that hinders him, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Father, ignite within ### a holy fire—a hunger for Your Word and a discipline to steward the gifts You’ve given him. Give him clarity of mind as he studies, and let Your peace guard his heart (Philippians 4:7). If there are ungodly influences or sinful habits drawing him away, expose them, Lord, and grant him the strength to turn away.
But more than his exams, we pray for his soul. If ### does not yet know You, Lord Jesus, soften his heart to receive Your salvation. Let this season of pressure drive him to You, the true source of wisdom and rest (Matthew 11:28). Surround him with godly influences—friends, mentors, or even Your still small voice—speaking truth into his life. May he emerge from this season not just with an MBA, but with a deeper dependence on You.
We declare that ###’s future is in Your hands. Whether he passes or fails, let him learn that his worth is found in Christ alone. Give him a testimony of Your faithfulness that he may glorify You in all things. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above all names, through whom all things are possible. Amen.
To you, dear parent, we say: continue to cover ### in prayer, but also speak life over him. Encourage him with Scripture, such as Joshua 1:9—*"Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."* Remind him that his identity is not in his performance but in Christ. And if you haven’t already, share the Gospel with him unashamedly. The greatest gift you can give ### is not academic success, but the knowledge of Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer. Let us know how ### progresses, and may God receive all the glory in this.
