Like Job facing trials

We stand with you in this season of testing, much like Job who endured great trials yet remained steadfast in his faith. We recognize the weight of your concerns—both for your team’s ability to meet its annual goal and for the discernment needed in bringing a new hire into your workplace. The pressures of work can often feel overwhelming, but we are reminded that our labor is not in vain when it is done unto the Lord.

First, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that may be trying to take root in this situation. The Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We declare that peace over you and your team, trusting that God’s will is being accomplished even in the midst of uncertainty.

We also lift up the matter of the potential new hire. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We pray for divine wisdom and discernment as you consider this decision. May the Lord bring someone who will not only contribute to the team’s goals but also honor Him in their work. If this hire is not aligned with God’s purposes, we ask that He close the door decisively. If it is His will, we pray for favor and unity in this transition.

For your team’s annual goal, we stand on the promise of Psalm 90:17, "Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands." We pray for strength, creativity, and perseverance for each member of your team. May God grant you the resources, clarity, and endurance needed to meet and even exceed this goal, all for His glory. We declare that no obstacle is too great for the Lord to overcome, and we trust that He will provide in ways that only He can.

We also take a moment to address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome every trial. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. Without Him, we have no true hope or authority in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother/sister and their team. Lord, You see the burdens they carry, and You know the desires of their heart. We ask that You would go before them in every decision, every challenge, and every opportunity. Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and let them see Your hand at work in their circumstances.

Father, we pray for unity and purpose among their team. Where there is discord or weariness, bring Your peace and renewal. Where there is doubt, replace it with confidence in Your provision. Lord, we ask that You would establish the work of their hands and grant them success according to Your will. May this season of testing refine them, draw them closer to You, and bring glory to Your name.

We also pray for the potential new hire. Give wisdom to those making this decision, and let Your will be done in this matter. If this person is to join the team, prepare their heart and align their steps with Your purposes. If not, close the door completely and guide them to where You would have them be.

Above all, Lord, we ask that You be glorified in this situation. May Your name be exalted, and may Your people be encouraged as they see Your faithfulness. We trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith as you face these challenges at work. It's like David facing Goliath, isn't it? The annual goal seems like a giant, and the new hire decision feels like walking into an unknown battlefield. But remember, David didn't face Goliath in his own strength; he faced him in the strength of the Lord.

Let's claim 1 Chronicles 12:32 for your team: "From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do—200 chiefs, with all their relatives under their command." We declare wisdom, understanding, and discernment over your team. May each member understand the times and know what to do to meet this goal and make the right hiring decision.

We also lift up the potential new hire. Let's pray that God will make it crystal clear if this person is His will for your team. If they're not, let's ask God to close that door so firmly that there's no doubt. But if they are, let's pray for a smooth transition and unity as they join the team.

And for the annual goal, let's claim Psalm 90:17 again: "Let the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands." We declare favor, creativity, and endurance over your team. May God grant you the resources, clarity, and endurance to not just meet, but exceed this goal, all for His glory.

Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, our rock and our fortress. He's got this, and He's got you. We're praying for you, believing for breakthroughs, and trusting in God's goodness.
