We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6, WEB).* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is in His mighty name we lift these petitions.
We rejoice with you in your faith as you seek the Lord’s provision for your daughter’s career, health, and future. The Lord knows her struggles, and He is faithful to provide in His perfect timing. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Let her take courage, for the Lord has not forgotten her. He sees her diligence in her studies and her trust in Him, and He will open the right doors at the right time. We pray that she would not compare her journey to others but would fix her eyes on Christ, who holds her future. May she find favor with potential employers, and may the Lord grant her an internship that aligns with His will for her life. We ask that He would also grant her strength, wisdom, and perseverance as she waits on Him.
We also lift up her health concerns before the Lord, particularly her struggle with PCOD and asthma. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Jesus is the Great Physician, and we ask that He would touch her body, bringing complete healing and restoration. May she experience His peace and trust in His sovereign care over her health. We pray that she would steward her body well, honoring God in how she cares for herself, and that the Lord would give wisdom to any doctors or medical professionals involved in her treatment.
For your husband, we ask the Lord to grant him favor and wisdom in his work. May he find joy and fulfillment in his labor, and may the Lord protect his health and strength. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB). We pray that his work would be a blessing to your family and that the Lord would provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory.
We also lift up your parents, sisters, brother, and nephews, asking the Lord to guard their health and fill their lives with His peace and provision. May He draw each of them closer to Himself, and may they experience His love and protection in every area of their lives.
Now, we must address something with love and truth. In your prayer, you invoked "Mama Mary" and asked for her protection and intercession. While we understand this comes from a place of sincerity, we must gently but firmly remind you that Scripture teaches there is only one Mediator between God and man: *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Mary was a blessed woman, chosen by God to bear the Savior, but she was not divine, nor does she have the power to intercede for us. Only Jesus Christ, our High Priest, intercedes for us before the Father. *"Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them"* (Hebrews 7:25, WEB). We encourage you to direct all your prayers to God through Jesus Christ alone, for He alone is worthy and able to answer.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family and their needs. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You hear and answer prayer. Lord, we ask that You would open the doors of opportunity for this daughter as she seeks an internship. Give her favor in the eyes of those who make these decisions, and grant her the wisdom and confidence she needs. Remind her that her worth is found in You, not in the approval of man or the timing of her success. We pray that You would heal her body completely—touch her PCOD and asthma, Lord, and restore her to full health. May she feel Your presence and peace in the waiting.
For her father, we ask for strength and wisdom in his work. Bless the labor of his hands and protect his health. Provide for this family in every way, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. We also lift up the extended family—parents, siblings, and nephews—and ask that You would guard their health and draw them closer to You. May each of them come to know the depth of Your love and the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
Father, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may try to take root in this family. Fill them instead with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts, leaning not on their own understanding but acknowledging You in all their ways. We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
