We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who has received a difficult diagnosis. Our Heavenly Father is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We know that even in this valley of shadows, You are present, and Your love never fails.
Father, we ask that You would surround ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let her feel Your comforting presence in every moment. We pray against pain and suffering, asking that You would ease her discomfort and grant her strength for each day. May Your angels indeed encamp around her, ministering to her needs and protecting her as she walks this path (Psalm 91:11).
Lord, we ask that You fill her remaining days with love, laughter, and joy. Let her be surrounded by family and friends who will uplift her, remind her of Your goodness, and help her reflect on the beautiful memories she has created. May she find comfort in knowing that her life has mattered and that she has touched so many with Your love. We pray that she would experience Your joy as her strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and that her heart would be lightened by the hope of eternity with You.
We also lift up her loved ones who are walking this journey with her. Give them strength, wisdom, and compassion as they care for her. Help them to cherish every moment and to find comfort in Your promises. May they lean on You and on one another, finding solace in the community of believers.
Father, we know that death is not the end for those who are in Christ. If ### has not yet placed her faith in Jesus, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would draw her to Yourself, that she may experience the fullness of Your love and the hope of eternal life. For those who believe in Jesus, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8), and we pray that she would find her ultimate peace and rest in You.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect plan, even when we do not understand it. Help us to fix our eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation, whether through healing on this earth or through welcoming ### into Your eternal presence. May Your will be done, and may Your name be praised. We trust in Your goodness and Your unfailing love.
In Jesus' mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen.
