We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your father in this critical time. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this promise today, believing that You are able to restore health and bring healing to every part of his body—his heart, his lungs, his kidneys, and every system that is struggling.
Lord, we ask that You would touch him with Your healing hand. Strengthen his heart, clear his airways, and restore proper function to his kidneys. We pray against any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take hold, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him sense Your presence in that ICU room.
We also lift up the medical team caring for him. Give them wisdom, clarity, and skill as they make decisions and administer treatments. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, so that everything done for him aligns with Your will for his healing.
Father, we know that life and death are in Your hands, and we trust You completely. Whether You choose to heal him here on earth or call him home to be with You, we ask that Your will be done. If it is Your will for him to recover, we pray for a miraculous turnaround—one that brings glory to Your name. If his time here is coming to an end, we ask that You would comfort him and his family, surrounding them with Your love and peace.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that is attacking his body in the name of Jesus. Your Word says in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We resist every attack of the enemy and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also want to gently encourage you, his loved ones, to hold fast to faith. This is a difficult time, but remember that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Lean on Him, pour out your fears and worries at His feet, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep standing on His promises.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this precious life. We thank You for the love and memories shared with him. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, bringing healing, hope, and Your perfect peace. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to You. Amen.
