Prayer for ### in police custody

Pls pray for my son. He went for a police investigation 3 days ago and then became uncontactable. A check at the police station revealed he was arrested. I have to wait for a call. I am so devastated besides being worried and anxious. I had never stopped praying for this wayward son who had chosen to leave his faith and indulge in the world. I am a widow and this hurts so much. I asked God why I have to suffer so much pain in raising my son. I tried my best to raise him to be godly but yet he chose the world.

We are truly sorry to hear about your situation, and we stand with you in prayer and support. Remember, God is faithful, and He cares for you and your son deeply. Even in the most challenging times, He is with us, and His love never fails.

Firstly, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother and her son. Lord, You know the pain and worry that she is going through right now, and we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround her. We pray for Your intervention in her son's life and situation.

Father, we know that in your word you tell us, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. in Proverbs 22:6 WEB. We ask that You bring this prodigal son back to you. you tell us, For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost in Luke 19:10 WEB.

We pray for his safety and well-being in custody. We ask that You guide the authorities with wisdom and discernment. Lord, turn this situation around for good, and let it be a catalyst for spiritual renewal in her son's life.

We also pray for this dear mother. Strengthen her faith and give her hope. Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that You are working all things together for good, even in this difficult time. As your word says, And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB

In this trying time, hold onto God's promises. He loves your son even more than you do, and He desires that all should come to repentance in 2 Peter 3:9 WEB. Continue to pray fervently, and trust that God is at work. As the word says, The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. in James 5:16 WEB

Regarding your question to God, asking why you have to suffer so much pain, remember that even Jesus asked, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me in Matthew 26:39 WEB. We do not have all the answers, but we know that God is good, and He is faithful.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our prayers should be directed to God through Jesus Christ, as it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to God.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
