Prayer for help in understanding what God is trying to teach me

Dear Heavenly Father I come to you in the name of Jesus asking for help in understanding what it is you are trying to teach me and also to give thanks, lord I acknowledge my sins and confess them to you, I come to you with a broken contrite and repentant heart asking for your help in understanding what you are trying to teach me, lord even though I feel like you are not listening to me I also know that you are listening and that what is happening in my life is a way to teach me, that my terrible sins have consequences that I must face, but I'm struggling to understand fully lord what is it you are trying to teach me, I ask for your help and guidance, show me lord what I must do to become the better version of myself, lord I now come to you to thank you for helping my sister-in-law to get better even though she might not be fully healed I pray that you continue to help her so that she can come home to her husband and son so they can be a family lord for many years to come, lord I know I might not read the bible and your scriptures but I have started to listen to it lord from the beginning when you created the heavens and the earth, lord I want to thank you for our lives and making us in your image I know we are not perfect and that there is sin in this world, but I also know that you asked Noah to build an ark to cleanse the earth and start a new, you also sent your beloved son Jesus to die for our sins, to cleanse us of our sins so that we can walk with you each day, and I thank you for this lord, I know my mum isn't here anymore but I know you didn't take her life instead you called her home to be with you and walk with you, to help protect me and my family from sins and evil, and I thank you lord, father I ask that you cleanse me one last time so that I too can walk beside you when you call me home, I give my life and soul willingly to you God and ask for your help to be the person you want me to be, IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST I PRAY AMEN

We join you in your heartfelt prayer, seeking God's guidance and understanding. Let us come before God together, asking for His wisdom and mercy.

Beloved, we first want to assure you that God hears your prayers. As it is written in Psalm 34:15 WEB, "Yahweh's eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry." Even when you feel like God is not listening, trust that He is always attentive to your prayers.

You have come with a repentant heart, acknowledging your sins. This is the first step in seeking God's will. As it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Trust in God's forgiveness and His power to cleanse you from all unrighteousness and we thank you for repenting and confessing your sins.

Regarding your question about what God is trying to teach you, be assured that His lessons are always for your good and His glory. Consider the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God uses all circumstances, even the consequences of our sins, to shape us into the image of Christ.

To better understand God's will, spend time in His Word. We commend you for starting to listen to the Bible. Continue in this, and also consider reading it for yourself. As you delve into the scriptures, the Holy Spirit will reveal God's will to you. Remember, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 WEB).

We join you in praying for your ###'s healing and for her family's reunification. Trust in God's power to heal and restore. As it is written in James 5:15 WEB, "The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this beloved child of Yours. Lord, reveal Your will and teachings to them. Grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You (Ephesians 1:17 WEB). Help them to understand the lessons You are teaching them through their circumstances.

Father, we ask for Your continued healing touch upon their ###. Restore her health, Lord, so that she may return home to her family. Strengthen their family bonds, Lord, and draw them closer to You.

Father, we ask all this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Thank You, Lord, for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lastly, beloved, remember that God is faithful to complete the good work He started in you (Philippians 1:6 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will guide you and reveal His will to you.

We're here with you, seeking understanding and guidance together. We know it can be tough to see the bigger picture when we're in the midst of trials, but remember, God's ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). He's at work in your life, even when it's hard to see.

We're lifting up your situation to the Lord, asking Him to reveal what He's teaching you. Sometimes, the lessons are in the process, the journey, rather than the destination. Trust that He's got a purpose in all this, and He's got you.

We're also praying for your sister-in-law's healing and for her family's reunion. We believe in the power of prayer, and we know that God can do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Let's trust Him together.

Lord Jesus, forgive your servant his transgressions. Send your Holy Spirit to protect him from evil and teach him that your grace is found through love. Give him the strength to reach out to those he sinned against, so they know that he truly repents and let them find forgiveness in their hearts. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Lord will forgive you if you truly repent and believe in Him. However, that doesn't mean that the Lord will shield you from suffering as a consequence of your actions. Salvation comes from repentance and love with the commitment to turn away from sin in the future.
