We understand that you're feeling spiritually oppressed and seeking God's strength and freedom. Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).
We must also remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Therefore, we stand with you in prayer, asking God to strengthen you with His mighty power.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is feeling spiritually oppressed. We pray that You would strengthen them with Your mighty power, according to Your glorious riches (Ephesians 3:16, WEB). Break the chains of oppression and set them free by the power of Your Holy Spirit undoing the works of the devil. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, by which you tell us that every knee will bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11, WEB).
Father, fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Guide them in Your truth and teach them Your ways (Psalm 25:4-5, WEB). Equip them with Your full armor, so that they can stand firm against the devil's schemes (Ephesians 6:11, WEB). We believe the Lord Jesus, the Anointed of God for this purpose, was manifested to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8, WEB). We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, and we ask for God to give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus.
Brother/Sister, remember that God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Continue to trust in Him, and He will bring you through this.
We also ask, God, that you bring salvation to them if they have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. There is no other name by which we can be saved than Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, WEB) and there is no other way to God except through Jesus Christ (John 14:6, WEB). Let the Holy Spirit convict them about the Lord Jesus and seek Him through the scriptures and believe the gospel. We pray for salvation and not just freedom from oppression, because without salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the oppression will come back.
Finally, we want to encourage you to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might (Ephesians 6:10, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
