We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting up your needs for health, mental wellness, and success in your studies. It is clear you desire improvement in your life, and we commend you for turning to the Lord in this. However, we must first address something vital: your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. Scripture makes it clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor is there any other way to approach God the Father except through Jesus. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s grace and mercy. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* If you have already accepted Christ, then we encourage you to always pray in His name, for He is our mediator before the Father (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now, let us turn to your request for health, mental wellness, and academic success. The Lord cares deeply about every aspect of your life, and He invites you to cast all your anxieties upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). Mental wellness is a real and important struggle for many, and we want to assure you that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He is the Great Physician, the One who heals both body and soul. Proverbs 3:5-8 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones."*
For your studies, we encourage you to seek wisdom from the Lord, for He is the source of all true wisdom. James 1:5 tells us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Diligent study is commendable, but remember that your ultimate purpose is to glorify God in all you do (1 Corinthians 10:31). Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."*
We also want to gently ask: are there areas in your life that may be contributing to your mental or physical struggles? Are you prioritizing rest, proper stewardship of your body, and godly habits? The Bible calls us to honor God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and to avoid anything that defiles us, whether it be unhealthy relationships, sinful behaviors, or neglect of self-care. If there is unconfessed sin in your life, we urge you to repent and turn to the Lord, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would grant them healing and strength in body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You know the struggles they face—every worry, every fear, every physical and mental burden. We ask that You would touch them with Your healing hand and restore them to full health. Father, grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
For their studies, Lord, we ask that You would grant them wisdom, focus, and perseverance. Open their mind to understand and retain what they learn, and help them to use their knowledge for Your glory. Remove any distractions or anxieties that hinder their progress, and let them find joy in the work You have set before them.
Father, if there are areas in their life that are not pleasing to You, we ask that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Lead them to repentance and renewal, that they may walk in obedience and experience the fullness of Your blessings. Surround them with godly influences and protect them from anything that would harm their relationship with You.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that they would grow deeper in their relationship with You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself and reveal Your love and salvation to them. Let them know that Jesus is the only way to eternal life and the only name by which we are saved.
We rebuked any spirits of anxiety, depression, or infirmity that may be attacking this dear one, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the victory and freedom that Jesus purchased for them on the cross. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
