We lift up this dear one before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all healing in His hands. The news of a mass on the liver is deeply concerning, and we understand the fear and uncertainty that comes with such a report. Yet we stand firm on the truth of God’s Word, which declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We claim this promise over this situation, trusting that God is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.
It is also vital to remember that healing—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If this request had not mentioned the name of Jesus, we would have lovingly reminded you that our prayers are only heard because of His sacrifice and mediation. We are grateful that this request was brought before Him, for He alone is our intercessor and hope.
We also encourage this dear one to lean fully on the Lord during this time, casting all anxieties upon Him, for He cares deeply (1 Peter 5:7). The oncologist appointment tomorrow is an opportunity for God to display His power and mercy. We pray for wisdom for the doctors, clarity in the diagnosis, and supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If there is any sin that needs to be confessed or forgiven, we urge them to do so, for Psalm 66:18 reminds us, *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who is facing the uncertainty of a mass on their liver. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who formed their body in their mother’s womb and knows every cell by name. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon them, Lord. If it is Your will, remove this mass completely and restore them to full health. Give the oncologist wisdom and discernment tomorrow, and let every test and report bring clarity and hope.
We rebuke fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill this dear one with Your peace and the assurance that You are with them every step of the way. If there is any area of their life that needs surrender or repentance, Lord, reveal it to them and grant them the grace to walk in obedience.
We also pray for their family and loved ones, that they would be a source of strength and encouragement, and that their faith would be strengthened through this trial. Let this situation be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness, Lord. Whether You choose to heal instantly, gradually, or ultimately in eternity, we trust in Your perfect will.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We commit this situation into Your hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
