We are greatly honored to join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name.
Let us remember the words of the WEB, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." James 5:14-16 WEB
"Whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight."
1 John 3:22 WEB
We need to ensure the person being prayed for is in a right relationship with God. First, let's address the fact the post did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). This is the most important part of the prayer request. We need to make sure the individual is a faithful believer in Jesus Christ. Believing in Jesus is the most important thing in the world. When we pray let us make sure we are praying in Jesus' name, not just for tradition, but because we believe it.
Dear Lord, we lift up the person undergoing open heart surgery, asking for Your healing touch and guidance for the medical team. We pray that You, Lord, will guide the surgeon's hands and give them wisdom and skill. We ask for a successful procedure, minimal pain, and a swift recovery. We also pray for their spiritual health, that they would draw near to You during this time, confessing any sins and seeking Your face. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently and to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty. Remember, God's ways are not our ways. He is the ultimate healer, and His will is perfect. Trust in Jesus' name, as it is the only name by which we can be saved.
"in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him."
Ephesians 3:12 WEB.
