My wife's sister, Lynette, is 48 years old and just found out she has cervical cancer within the last two weeks. Upon testing it was determined she is in stage 3 and the cancer has invaded her left ovary, left fallopian tube, inner and outer cervix, and the lymph node on the left side of her pelvis. PET scan shows cancer on her lymph node on the left side of her neck and she has swelling in her left arm. They have told her that with a single drug regimen of chemo and radiation, then, brachytherapy, and then a total historectomy, she only has a 30% chance of survival. They recommended she undergo a dual drug chemo in addition to the above which as the doctor said will make her so sick, she will wish she were dead, but will increase her chance of survival to 60%. Her radiation treatment will be daily, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Her single drug chemo will be once per week for 6 weeks. When this is complete the will start the brachytherapy and the dual drug chemo. Her husband is a truck driver and has to work to maintain their livelyhood and insurance. They are both Christians and believe in the healing power of prayer. Please pray for a miracle for her, that this cancer may disappear and that a miraculous healing occur. Lynette has two daughters who are both Christian and love there mother very much. Lynette is a LPN and has spent many years caring for others and is loved by many friends and family, including me. My wife Laurie and I need your prayers in dealing with this as we are very close. Please also pray for my work as I am self-employed and have been struggling due to the economy.
