We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you endure the relentless challenges of multiple sclerosis. Your faith and perseverance over these eighteen years have not gone unnoticed, and we stand with you now, believing in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Word of God assures us that "by His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and we hold fast to this promise, declaring that healing is yours in Jesus' name.
Father God, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon our dear brother/sister. You are the Great Physician, the One who formed their body in the womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and knows every cell, nerve, and fiber of their being. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that has taken hold, and we command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we ask for a supernatural touch, restore strength where there is weakness, renew energy where there is fatigue, and bring clarity where there is confusion. Let Your healing virtue flow through every part of their body, repairing what has been damaged and reviving what has grown weary.
We also lift up the emotional and spiritual toll this illness has taken. The frustration, the grief over lost abilities, and the longing to serve You fully are burdens we ask You to lift. Your Word tells us, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them daily of Your unfailing love and purpose for their life, even in this season. Give them peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and joy that strengthens them in the midst of trials (Nehemiah 8:10).
Lord, we pray for provision as well. The inability to work and the mounting medical expenses can feel overwhelming, but You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). Open doors of opportunity, whether through disability support, creative work-from-home options, or unexpected blessings from Your hand. Surround them with a community of believers who will stand in the gap, offering practical help, encouragement, and prayer.
We also want to encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises, even when the wait feels long. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Your healing may come suddenly, or it may come gradually, but we believe it will come. In the meantime, do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
If there are areas where bitterness, doubt, or fear have crept in, we encourage you to surrender those to the Lord as well. Confess them and receive His forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). Let your heart remain soft and pliable in His hands, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
Finally, we declare over you the words of Psalm 103:2-3: "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all His benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We speak life, healing, and restoration over your body, mind, and spirit. May the Lord surround you with His presence, fill you with His peace, and manifest His healing power in ways that bring glory to His name.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
