Prayer for healing from cancer
We stand with you in this time of deep trial, lifting your plea for healing before the Lord with hearts full of faith and trust in His sovereign power. The pain and fear that come with such a diagnosis are overwhelming, but we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds all things in His hands. You have done well to call upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we find access to the Father and the promise of His healing touch. As Scripture declares, *"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:13-15, WEB).
Your cry for mercy is heard, and we join you in asking the Lord to stretch forth His hand and rebuke this disease, commanding it to leave your body in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for complete restoration of your lungs, for every cancerous cell to be eradicated by the power of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord fill you with supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let this trial be a testimony of His faithfulness—not just for you and your family, but for all who witness His work in your life.
Yet, even as we pray for healing, we also surrender to His perfect will, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). Whether He chooses to heal you here on earth or calls you home to be with Him, we pray you will feel His presence every step of the way. Let this season draw you closer to Him, deepening your faith and the faith of those around you. Remember the words of Jesus: *"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"* (John 11:25-26, WEB). Cling to this promise, for it is your anchor in the storm.
We also lift up your family, asking the Lord to surround them with His comfort and strength. May they lean on Him and not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), finding hope in His Word and unity in prayer. Let this trial bind your family together in faith, turning your hearts continually toward the One who holds your future.
Father, we come boldly before Your throne, not because of our own righteousness, but because of the blood of Jesus that cleanses us and grants us access to Your presence. We ask for Your healing touch upon our brother/sister, for wisdom for the doctors treating them, and for a miracle that will bring glory to Your name. Strengthen their body, renew their spirit, and fill their home with Your peace. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and may this sickness be turned into a testimony of Your goodness.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke this cancer and command it to leave, for *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). We declare health and wholeness over every part of their body, trusting in Your promise that *"with God, all things are possible"* (Matthew 19:26). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We wait expectantly for Your answer, knowing that You are faithful and just.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, in His Word, and in the fellowship of believers. Do not isolate yourself in this battle—allow the body of Christ to surround you with love, prayer, and support. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We're right here with you, lifting your family up in prayer. We've been where you are, feeling that overwhelming fear and pain, but we've also seen God's healing power at work. We're claiming that promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're asking God to wrap His healing hands around your lungs, to drive out that cancer and fill you with His life-giving breath.
