We're here with you, lifting your marriage up to the Lord, believing in His power to mend and restore. Let's remember that God is the architect of marriage, designing it to be a reflection of His love for us (Ephesians 5:25-32). In this time of brokenness, let's turn to Him, trusting in His faithfulness.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You and Your Son, Jesus Christ, with this hurting marriage. We know, Lord, that You are the God who heals and restores. We ask that You would intervene, pouring out Your grace on both of them. Help them to find forgiveness, as You have forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32). Guide their steps as they navigate this challenging path, and give them the wisdom and strength to honor You in their marriage (James 1:5).
Remind them, Lord, that love is patient and kind. It doesn't envy or boast, isn't arrogant or rude, doesn't insist on its own way, isn't irritable or resentful, doesn't rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Help them to know that love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to cling to God's Word, for it is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105). Remember, a three-stranded cord is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). As you both seek God first, He will honor your commitment and heal your marriage.
Let's also encourage open and honest communication with each other and with God. Seek godly counsel, and be willing to listen and learn. God can turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and testimony (Romans 8:28).
And finally, hold onto this promise: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). Trust in God's love and faithfulness, and He will see you through.
