Prayer for guidance

Our family has decided that we’d like to move back to our home town. Please pray for guidance from the Lord that this would be the right choice and that the doors would open to us finding a home if it’s in His will. Lord Jesus please help us in making this huge decision that we’d make the right choice.

We are glad to join you in prayer and seek God's will regarding your potential move back to your home town. It's commendable that you're seeking God's guidance in this significant decision. We are reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family who is seeking Your will regarding their desire to move back to their home town. Lord, we ask that You guide them clearly and open the doors that need to be opened if this is indeed Your will. Help them to trust in You completely and not rely on their own understanding.

In Jesus' name, we ask for Your wisdom and discernment to fill their hearts. Help them to wait on Your timing and be patient in this process. We know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB).

Lord, if moving back home is not Your will, we pray that You would clearly close the doors and guide them to where You want them to be. Above all, we pray that Your will be done in their lives and that they would be in the center of Your purpose for them.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and goodness. In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to wait on the Lord and seek His face during this time. Be diligent in prayer and reading God's Word.

We've been thinking about how Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We trust that God has a purpose in this move, and we're asking Him to reveal that purpose to you.

Dear Lord,

We lift up this family to You, asking that You would guide them with Your loving hand. Help them to see the path You've laid out for them, and give them the courage to follow it. We ask that You would open the right doors and close the wrong ones, making it clear where they should go and what they should do.

Lord, we know that You have a plan for them, a plan to prosper and give them hope. We ask that You would reveal that plan to them, and give them the faith to trust in You completely. Help them to be patient, to wait on Your timing, and to trust that You are working everything out for their good.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
