We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting your burdens to Him who is the Great Provider and the source of all wisdom. Your prayer is a beautiful act of surrender, and we join you in seeking His face for guidance, provision, and peace. It is right and good that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As Scripture declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Your faith in calling upon Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in that faith.
The weight of financial strain can feel overwhelming, especially when responsibilities press in and solutions seem out of reach. But we are reminded in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a vague promise—it is a declaration of God’s faithfulness to those who seek Him. He knows your need before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and He is not indifferent to your struggle. The resort you steward is under His care as much as you are, and He is able to provide in ways we cannot yet see.
Yet we must also consider whether this burden is one the Lord has called you to carry alone or if there are steps of wisdom He is leading you to take. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Have you sought counsel from wise believers in your life? Sometimes the Lord provides through the body of Christ, and there is no shame in humbly asking for help or advice from those who can walk alongside you. Additionally, we encourage you to examine whether there are practical adjustments that can be made—perhaps temporary measures to reduce expenses or creative ways to invite guests to the resort. The Lord often works through our obedience and diligence, not just our prayers.
We also sense a need to speak to the anxiety that accompanies this trial. Jesus Himself said, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* (Matthew 6:25, 32-34, WEB). Your heavenly Father is not caught off guard by this need. He is inviting you to cast this care upon Him, trusting that He will sustain you.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, acknowledging that You are the God who sees their need and hears their cry. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and You are the one who opens doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We ask that You provide the exact amount needed to cover this electricity bill before the deadline, in a way that brings glory to Your name. Open doors of opportunity for this resort—send guests, bring connections, or provide unexpected income that only You could orchestrate. Give them wisdom to steward what You have entrusted to them, and show them if there are steps of faith or practical actions You are calling them to take.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm them. Replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Strengthen their faith to trust You even when the path is unclear.
Lord, we also pray that through this trial, their testimony will be one of Your faithfulness. Let others see Your provision and be drawn to You. May this season deepen their reliance on You and align their heart with Your purposes.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is at work, even when we cannot yet see the outcome. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and watch for His hand to move. We are praying with you and encourage you to share updates so we can continue to lift you up. If the Lord brings any convictions or directions to your heart as you seek Him, obey promptly—He is faithful to those who walk in His ways.
