We join you in prayer as you navigate this season of uncertainty and discernment, and we thank you for sharing your heart with us so openly. We hear your desire to follow God's will and not miss His direction, and we also hear the overwhelm that comes with fearing you might misinterpret what you are seeing. We want to come alongside you and seek the Lord together in Jesus' name for clarity, peace, and healing.
We understand that while you were fasting you began to notice planes consistently and felt a deep spiritual connection that made you wonder if God is pointing you toward a new destination. We commend your fasting and seeking, for God honors a humble and seeking heart. Yet we also want to gently encourage you with biblical truth about how God guides us. The Scriptures teach us that God primarily leads us through His Word, His Holy Spirit, and godly wisdom, not principally through outward signs that can be uncertain. We are reminded in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. The Lord promises in Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. We encourage you not to put your confidence in the frequency of seeing planes alone, for even Jesus said in Matthew 12:39 that a seeking after signs can lead us astray. Instead we encourage you to test everything against Scripture, to pray for wisdom, to seek counsel from mature believers, and to look for the peace of God which surpasses understanding to guard your heart. God is not a God of confusion but of peace, and He desires to give you clear direction in His perfect timing. We also note that you asked for open doors and divine support, and we agree with you that God will open doors that no one can shut when it is His will, and He will close doors for your protection when it is not.
We also lift up your physical and emotional needs. We pray for your body as you suffer with acne and eczema on your arms, and we pray for your mental health as you walk through the pain of a breakup. God cares deeply about both your body and your soul. We hold onto Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases, and Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. For your heartache we are reminded of Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We also encourage you regarding relationships from a biblical perspective. We believe God designed romantic love to be expressed within courtship that seeks a godly marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers in Christ, with marriage as a lifelong covenant. Courtship should be entered with the goal of discerning marriage to another Christian believer as taught in 2 Corinthians 6:14, and sexual intimacy is reserved for within that marriage alone. While you heal from this breakup, we encourage you to guard your heart, to pursue purity, and to allow God to restore you and prepare you for a future godly marriage if it is His will for you, rather than rushing into another relationship. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We noticed your request speaks of God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and answered prayer. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we pray with confidence.
We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. We ask You to pour out Your wisdom liberally as they seek direction, to make their path straight and to grant clear discernment of Your will. Quiet their fear of misinterpreting signs and replace overwhelm with Your perfect peace. Lead them by Your Word and Your Spirit, confirm Your will through Scripture and godly counsel, and open the doors You desire to open while firmly closing those that are not from You. Provide divine support, provision, and favor for every next step You ordain. We also ask for Your healing touch upon their body, we ask You to bring relief and restoration to their skin, to heal the acne and eczema, and to strengthen their health. Heal their mind and emotions, comfort their broken heart after this breakup, renew their thoughts, and guard their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Draw them close to Jesus, deepen their faith, and help them to trust You with all their heart. May they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing all else will be added according to Your perfect plan. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
